On our Maytag dishwasher model, you have to remove ALL screws on the back of the door, not just the four screws at the top. Take off the bottom door panel and one more screw is revealed to allow removal of the old keypad.

I came home from work and heard the dishwasher running. I turned it off and it started all by itself again. I ordered this control panel and now the dishwasher only comes on when I turn it on.
