A/C was down (long story). Received this part next day. It was easy to swap the wires and plugs.I took many photos before starting. Two plugs were in slightly different positions than my original board, but the new and original boards were well marked. I unplugged each wire from the old board and plugged it into the new board before moving to the next wire, carefully looking at the labels.Once the circuit breaker was back on, it took a couple minutes to turn on the AC, but then it started. The board was relatively easy to switch out. I used a needle nose plyers to remove the old board and a Phillips screwdriver to wire the thermostat wires. And a flashlight. Easy.

Just want to pay it forward since I never would have noticed this on my own. But the "LINE-H" and "XFMR-H" wires are reversed positions on this board compared to the original one in my Trane XB80. Other than that this was extremely easy to install and took around 10 minutes.

Works as described. Still going strong several months later. Easy to install with help from online video. This saved our family so much money after a storm fried our relay.

I had one vendor tell me don’t wast my money and just upgrade my 20 year old system. “Don’t chase good money after bad”. Quoted 6k for a new system. Second vendor said they would replace the board for $1000 but also said something similar as far as wasting money on old system. They quoted $4500 for new system.$125 for this board and it took care of my issues. In my case it was an intermittent issue of the heater firing up or not. It would work for a few days and then wouldn’t. I initially thought a control board would be binary. Either work or not but not the case. After replacing I could see the burn marks on the back side.Been 6 mo so I am confident it want another part causing the board to fail as some were suggesting. One watch out was there were some wires (2) that didn’t go to the same spot so I had to make note to plug to the name vs the spot.

So where to start? My HVAC was a problem from the time we moved in! 1) the fan relay on this board. 2) the other HVAC system would always leak Freon and based on the cost of R22 we changed it out this last spring. So back to number 1. Based on the Maintenance of the new unit the Technician came out to check the new unit and to make sure the old one was working. After a lot phone calls and another tech showing they came to me and said I need a new board and a new gas valve! What? Nothing was said about the burnt spot on the back of the old board. After some research I found the upgraded board purched it and waited. It came a day early! So if you do not feel comfortable doing this find a friend that can. My son and I changed it.I was correct the old board had a lot of problems. Once the newer board was installed and I put power back on everything worked! Ran the HVAC through it's paces and all worked. No need for a gas valve! No need for a new system to be installed either! So this board saved me $2,000 if I had them replace the board and the valve! Or you could say it saved $30,000 in replacement costs.Just make sure you have power removed when change it and you practice ESD protocols. And above all if you are not comfortable get help!It saved us some money! All the best!
