Both my husband and I have a set and it's connected to my mom's room. She has yet to need to use it, but first I need to get her to remember to bring the button with her lolThe lights are bright when it gets triggered and the sound is just as loud, so even if you are using noise cancelling headsets, you WILL see/hear it.I have mine situated on a power bar on my desk so it is always in my sight.

I had great hopes for this product, as it would have enabled me to feel comfortable leaving my elderly father alone in his house for a few hours each day. I bought it for the advertised “SMS texting” feature, which allegedly will automatically send a text to my phone whenever Dad presses the SOS button. However, I discovered that, in order to activate that feature, you are first required to subscribe to a paid monthly service. So I subscribed to the lowest-cost plan, but then simply could not get the texting feature to work. The instructions are written in badly translated English (in tiny print, as mentioned in other reviews). And the iPhone app is maddeningly difficult to navigate and understand — it seems to be missing components, and when you try to activate the service, the app just wants to sell you more subscriptions. So I have requested a refund of the subscription fee (no response after 2 days, so I’m losing hope), and will be returning the product for a refund.Updated 2024-08-15: The seller did respond with an email containing extensive instructions on how to activate the SMS texting service, but the instructions were no more helpful to me than the ones I had already studied; so I told the seller I didn’t want to invest more time and effort in trying to get it to work. The seller then offered to refund my purchase cost, but I had already started the return/refund process through Amazon. Also I think I was able to cancel my auto-renewing subscriptions via PayPal.Updated 2024-08-16: The seller has issued full refunds for my subscriptions.

We are using this for my Mother who is having mobility issues. We needed an easy way to be able to have her contact someone within the house but also have the option going forward for remote contact. Setup for contacting someone in the house was super easy. You literally plug in the alarm near wherever you need it. I like that is is as simple as that because it is easily movable if required. The unit comes with 2 panic remotes, so you can put one by the bed and one in the bathroom if necessary. We haven't used the Wifi remote contact yet because I only have the 5ghz wireless active on our network (it only supports 2.4ghz), but when we get to that point, I can turn that on and I think it will work just fine.

It's great when it works properly. Sometimes it just goes off randomly without anyone touching the button and does it 6-7 times. I go to her room and she's asleep. Not good cause I keep rushing in there for nothing. Is there a reason it does this??

I love this idea so much! More so than a lot of the other emergency systems out there that only can call emergency help. An ambulance call may not be warranted in every case. It wasn't for my mom. Although to her it was an emergency each time and would call an ambulance. She would have anxiety attacks that made her feel that something serious was happening to her. Someone such as family needed to assist the situation first for her. But her mind wasn't thinking straight in those moments to even call anyone. My mom who lives five hours from me has some issues with anxiety and loneliness that came out of nowhere for her a few years ago. She has some physical ailments too but nothing too serious. But she is getting older and is now 76 and she also lives alone. Due to her anxiety, she had to be put on medication which makes her unsteady on her feet at times and she has even fallen a couple of times because of it. She didn't hurt herself but could have. And who knows if there will be a next time. So, it is concerning. So, such as in my mom's case in may be an emergency or it may not. When the ambulances would arrive at her house, they would tell her there wasn't anything wrong with her that would warrant a ride to the hospital and would leave. Sometimes calling a family member for her and sometimes not. We wouldn't know beforehand that there was a problem. It was becoming a real problem. So, for my family this is the perfect device. And the best part there are no monthly charges such as in the cases with the ones that call for emergency help. My mother doesn't have the money to pay for something like that and sadly either do we. One of my brothers who is the closest to her has the app that you get for it. It should automatically come up when your phones blue tooth searches for it. Click on it and it should go to the app with further instructions. Only one person can have the actual app. It comes with a manual that explains how to set everything up fairly well. There are also videos on how to set it up to your phone. Now, just because only one person can have the app doesn't mean everyone in the family has to wait on that person to contact them. Instead, after the help button is pushed and after going to the hub and then the app it automatically sends a notice to everyone else that is on the list of people you want it to be sent to no matter where they are in the U.S. And there is an unlimited number of people that can be placed on this list. You have the option of sending out a link to as many people as you want. So, when my mom is feeling anxious, she instead can just push the button around her neck and let family take of her and the situation instead of her calling for an ambulance straight away. Now in case of a real emergency which could happen if my mom ere to fall and hurt herself is nearly just as fast and just as easy to do. It is just instead of her calling for emergency help it is a family member who does after getting the notice that she had pushed her help button. This pager system gives you choices and options that others do not. And this is exactly what we needed. I think something like this would be the best bet for persons who have family around them but may not be the best for those who do not. So, it may not be the perfect fit for everyone. But for my family it was he answer to our prayers. I thought I would mention some issues I had in the beginning with the pager. When turning wifi and/or blue tooth on your phone to try and link up with the app you have to have 2.4GHz internet connection speed. Most people still have it, but it may not be set on it in cases where you have both like I did. In these cases, it is supposed to automatically go to the correct speed it needs without a fuss but mine didn't. And I had no idea how to manually switch it over. Nor did I necessarily want to. This wasn't where I was going to have the hub but I wanted to test it out before putting it in my mom's house. But this couldn't be done.I hope u don't run into the issue that I had and if you do you know what to do to switch it over. Iam sure there is plenty of information out there that can help you do this if you don't. When at my mom's house setting it up was lot easier because she only had the 2.4GHz internet speed. As far as the app goes, I haven't had the chance to check it out since my brother is the one who has it and he is 4 ours away. And other than practicing and playing with the system there hasn't been a long enough time to actually experience an emergency. But I am sure it will work just fine. I defiantly recommend trying this with your loved one. I am sure it will make the person needing that extra security very happy. And I am sure they will also be happy that they won't be getting so many ambulance bills in the future.

Hard to review this product since it won't connect to my phone. Maybe if you showed on the demonstration a little faster I might blink and miss a step.

This is by far the best SOS button for caregivers and family members. Multiple people can receive the call button signal.

This elderly call button was easy to set up and easy to use. Has a good range and I feel much better about my elderly parents living on their own. The only problem was that the print in the instructions is so tiny, they couldn't read it, even with reading glasses. Would be simple for the manufacturer to splurge on a little larger piece of paper.

This does the job. My dad is hard of hearing and mom is bed ridden. When my mom calls him he doesn’t hear her. With this gadget, there has been no problems. The ring noise plus bonus light up feature, my dad never misses mom’s call now.
