This glove is a step up from the smaller beginner mitts kids get when they start t-ball or coach pitch. It's a nice size for softball. The ball fits and holds. the material is soft so there is not a ton of breaking it in.

It was a little stuff when we got it but after conditioning and breaking it in which was very easy it was an awesome glove. Held up very well throughout the season and is in really good shape to continue using next season. We got the black and teal and it fit perfectly. Well worth the money!

My 8 year old niece just graduated from T-ball to softball last year, and she needed some big girl gear to go with that transition. Her favorite color is like a dark teal green, so this fit the bill for her perfectly! I also bought the “Used, Like New” one, (figuring less break in time) and it was perfect. It looked brand new!My niece is very stoic (much like her mom), but all the squealing and jumping around from her sisters, along with the exclamations of how she got a “Big Kid Glove,” tells me that this was a success.Well, that and the fact that she immediately dragged her dad outside to “have a catch” with her. It’s pretty soft and pliable right out the gate, so that’s a plus. Minimal break in required.

Has lasted the whole season my daughter has out grown it but luckily I have another right behind her so we could see how long this glove will last..for real. Glove was broken in when got out of box which was awesome and helped keep their confidence up when catching because the ball wouldn't pop out because they were stiff

Wilson is top of the line gloves. This A500 is perfect for her nine year old hand as it is very near broke in when you get it. As she grows older we will move up to A2000 as the A500 is more on the budget end leather, but perfect for a quality glove to last a few seasons for your younger players. Worth the money and glove is not stiff.
