I've had a few of these now, and this one works mostly as well as the others, with a few minor hiccups. The connection is stable after it's been connected for a few minutes, but during those first few minutes there are some lag spikes where maps and music seems to hesitate to catch up. It's then stable, for the most part, unless if I access the phone and then it stutters a bit again. The set up process was, more or less, the same as the others and relatively straight forward. It might vary a bit depending on your vehicle's system, but it's not very hard to figure out, even lacking instruction. The other issue I encountered was that sometimes some functions didn't seem to work very well - pausing, skipping, and seeking sometimes didn't seem to want to work, and I've no idea why. I have not encountered this issue on other units, but this one seems a little more cheaply made so it could just be that it's not using as powerful of a processor inside. And that might explain the system latency/stuttering at times, too. It's "good enough," and if you can get it on a flash or lightning sale for a good price it's probably worth it. But there are much smoother, faster, and better options out there for not that much more.

This adapter works just as advertised. My car has CarPlay, but just the version where I have to plug my phone in. Which means I have to pull my phone out of my bag or pocket, my phone is just sitting out, and I always have that charging cable flopping around. The adapter connects instantly when I get in my car, regardless of my phone being in my jacket or bag, and it works just like the wired CarPlay. Please note that this will not work if you don’t already have CarPlay installed in your car.

This wireless CarPlay adapter works eventually. It's not as smooth as others I've had. One problem is it doesn't connect to all your cars functions, like fast-forward rewind skip that could be a problem for some. I don't recommend this because they're better ones out there.

This was pretty quick and easy to install. Though honestly, the directions were not all that clear. But if you have every paired your phone with something it basically is the same process you always follow. Plug it into whichever USB port is the hardwired one and the car's display will have some vague wording and nomenclature on it. Just ignore it and pair your phone. When you subsequently turn your car on it takes about 5 seconds but the device wakes up and automatically pairs with your phone. It looks and acts like a normal Carplay connection. The only odd thing was that after pairing my phone, and having music play from my phone through the car stereo system, I looked at the Bluetooth settings on my phone. This new device was listed as a pairing option, but its status was "not connected" even though it was connected and music was playing. I've never had that happen before with any other Bluetooth device. Hopefully, this does not become an issue in some unforeseen manner. I will update the review if appropriate.

Have installed this in a ram truck 2021. It has a wired CarPlay connection. Been using the wire and recently switched to a new phone iPhone 16 pro and for some reason there was problems with the old wired connection . Bought a new wire and it works well but decided to go ahead and try this wireless connection, which would make things a lot more Convenient for hubby. Well plugged it in and it’s pretty much plug and play. All You have to do is start your vehicle plug it in for to show up on the screen. Go into the Bluetooth on your phone. Click on the connection for it that is showing up under devices. Wait then a number comes up when it says, would you like to pair Click the pair spot. That’s it you’re done. It’s already sent the signal to your Wi-Fi so that it can work through your Wi-Fi and not your Bluetooth. No your car does not need Wi-Fi in it nor do you use any Wi-Fi off of your phone. It uses the Wi-Fi for the Wi-Fi the name of the unit like a router. So far, I’m impressed with the ease and the incredibly small size of this unit. Will update after a couple weeks and let you know how it’s doing. .this also does work with your steering wheel settings to operate your CarPlay.

The JAXUWIN Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto adapter is a small USB-A dongle that works with a vehicle that has wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto. The unit includes a USB-A to USB-C adapter just in case you have a newer vehicle with a USB-C port. The installation and setup was super easy. I plugged the device to the USB-A port on thevehicle, turn the vehicle on and looked and connected to the 'Smartbox' Bluetooth on my phone.Once I connected to the 'Smartbox' Bluetooth, the Android Auto interface appeared on the dashboard very quickly and I had access to all the features of Android Auto, such as navigation, music, and hands-free calling. The JAXUWIN Wireless adapter does not connect automatically half of the times when I start the vehicle. It also disconnects randomly for not apparent reason.A wireless adapter should work as good as if the phone was wired to the vehicle using the dedicated USB port for wired CarPlay and Android AutoI swapped the JAXUWIN Wireless adapter for a similar unit and the connection is automatic and it works flawlessly from the start until the car is powered off. Before trying to setup this or similar devices, just make sure Android Auto or Apple CarPlay are already working over a wired connectionThe phone connection to the wireless dongle is done over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so your phone might drop all other connections. The JAXUWIN Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto adapter is a good accessory when it works. If you do not mind manually connecting to the device when it disconnects.
