The smonet camera system was very easy to install. Needed a 120 V power source. I had a video loss on one camera. I had to call support. They were very quick to call back and we cleared up the issue with a couple of simple clicks. The cameras work really good in their night vision infra. As you can see from the 2 photos, the other 2 cameras you can see are shining quite well Yeah, and the quality for night vision. You should be able to identify somebody easily. Once again customer support was very helpful.

I installed the Smonet 8ch WiFi kit three years ago now in Midwest climate. Every piece of the equipment in this kit is still going strong and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again. The WiFi connection hasn’t missed a beat. I us with Motorola and Asus equipment. The plug style power supply for the cameras took some proper creativity to be convenient. I did not have outlets everywhere. I used outdoor lights already mounted on the house to tap into AC power. The software used to control the set-top box is easy to customize and navigate. I’ve had one call to tech support. They responded within 24 hours. Super helpful and understandable. The app used on you phone is also user friendly and allows me to view and customize settings all while traveling. Daytime and night time picture quality great. All around five start product.

I PURCHASED THE SET OF 8 SECURITY CAMERAS AND THE INSTALLATION WAS SUPER EASY, THE CAMERA QUALITY IS AMAZING. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE CAMERAS. THE VISION ON THE CAMARAS ARE SUPER CLEAR. BUT THE MOST AMAZING THING IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I RECEIVED FROM SMONET . I CALLED AND I SPOKE TO NACHO THE REPRESENTATIVE FOR SMONET AND HE WAS SUPER PROFESSIONAL, VERY HANDY AND HE HELPED ME WITH MY REQUEST SUPER FAST, HE EVEN CALLED ME BACK WHEN HE SAID HE WILL CALL ME TO CONTINUEW WITH THE REQUEST THAT I DID. I AM VERY IMPRESS WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS CAMERAS TO ANYBODY.

Have followed all of the instructions and recommendations precisely, yet still have some cameras disconnecting at least once per week. To get them to reconnect his quite simple, just cycle the power on the camera. However, there is no notification if a camera goes down so you may have a false sense of security when you are in fact not covered. Just need to keep checking that they are all online.Having said all that, this is a good value system and it wasn't very difficult to set up. It gets the job done and has a pretty decent app to accompany it, making it easy to find and save video footage. Great for peace of mind.

The system works great for home use and business use the picture is relatively clear night vision works good the setup is actually pretty easy as comes hardcoded out the box ips are non standard in the 172. Range so it is a issue if you plan to connect to camera remotely directly it's not for you the way you do it is connect remotely to the nvr system that the cameras are connected to on the computer I use VMS app there are others if you know what you are doing and setup a DNS forwarder like noip.com etc through nvr or a router /VPN downsides the picture quality could be better and hardware zoom or tracking but the program does have software zoom . This is perfect for home monitoring etc as well aswatching out for family members that may need assistance and are not able to help etc by remote viewing without a subscription cost etc.CompTIA A+Certified I.T Technician , EMS VOLUNTEER , AMATEUR Radio Operator.UNITED STATES

I have installed several of Smonet systems over the past few years, the cameras and and the recorders have held up excellent, the app is a more standardized ip viewer than the previous apps that were used with smonet systems, but it seems more designed for phones and tablets, it will still work on computers, but the size of images are limited for use on a work station computer ,If they could get this system to work with IP pro app, you would be able to see larger images like the way the older Smonet systems worked. Overall I could not find a cheaper system with this many bells and whistles and the size of the hard drive, I will keep recommending these systems for surveillance installations.

I have been looking at a home security system for awhile and decided to buy this system for the reviews. Once I a received the system, I was able to install all the cameras and system in half a day. I'm not a rocket scientist, but I was able to connect everything and download app to my phone and see all my cameras. Took me about an hour to mess with the system to get it working on my phone. But it works perfectly. I went on vacation a day later for about a week. Its amazing to see who comes to your house when your not around. Picture perfect, I can see the person's face clear that comes to my door. The alerts on my phone to notify me that someone is walking up is awesome. I'm so glad I got off my butt and got a home security system. The price for 8 cameras is great. I have an extra camera that I hook up whenever we leave so we can check out the cats in the livingroom. Dont hesitate to buy.
