Can't get it to work. The wrong directions were enclosed with it, I tried to get the correct manual online and couldn't do that either. No matter what I try to do it will not setup properly. Even what I found online doesn't have the same buttons to set it up. Big disappointment.

My Mom loves it. I bought it as a gift for her and she uses it every single day when she’s drinking coffee and wants to know what’s going on outside before she walks the dog.

We have two of these working off one sensor. The sensor appears to have better coverage when compared to our old Oregon Scientific weather stations. Low power consumption and only engages the backlight when the top button is pressed. We tried another brand , and the colorful weather station that stayed lit hurt my wife's eyes, and never dimmed, which was a poor choice for the bedroom in the evening. These are working great. The only (minor) concern is that you have to manually set the time.

It's a good size to fit by my side door, it's accurate and not to big.

The Wittime 2180 weather station provides all the basic indoor/outdoor weather information---without the fancy multicolor, constant backlight, and flashing icons. Included are the usual temperature, humidity, min-max, time/date, and barometric pressure. Also, the remote sensor has good transmission range; the reliably-sensitive “atomic clock” includes seconds; and the barometric pressure a useful histogram. Missing is the moon phase. But what distinguishes the Wittime 2180 is that all of its setting buttons are on the side (not the back), with the alarm buttons on left side separated from the weather buttons on right side. The display is uncluttered, logical, and easily read; and the battery-operated backlight is adequate. In all, the Wittime 2180 functions accurately and reliably as it should---basic, nothing fancy, without any shortcomings. And for that I give it a 5-star rating.

What I LIKE:* I barely even glanced at the instructions. The MAIN station is THAT easy to setup.* The unit REQUIRES Qty: 5 AA cells (3 for the station, 2 for the remote sensor). (I don't know how long they last yet.) The ad says they come with the unit (mine did NOT have ANY batteries when I opened the box). (No big deal since I have plenty of AA batteries.) The Amazon ad and the User Manual SAY you can connect an external power source - this feature is NOT present on MY unit. (Apparently I received an older version unit WITHOUT a power plug.)* Large display is easy to read. Many other features too numerous to mention.* Just a tap (on top) turns on the screen light for 10 seconds so you can see it in the dark.* Temperature and humidity sensors appear accurate. (Too soon to tell for the barometer.)* Two stands let you place it on your desk/shelf, but you may also hang it on a wall. What I DON'T like:* I wish I could switch the INDOOR (smaller display I use most) and OUTDOOR (Larger display I use less) panes on the display - but you can't.* The two little plastic stands have tiny pivots that BREAK VERY EASILY, if over-extended. I can fix this easily with some hot-glue, but since mine hangs on a wall, I don't really care.* My BIGGEST COMLAINT is the User Manual received (and the User Manual I downloaded) do NOT match my WT2180 exactly.*** I would have rated this system with 5 stars EXCEPT for the various misrepresentations between the unit I received (older) and what they say it would do (newer units).JCG

I had to return my first attempt at replacing my thermometer, so was very apprehensive about receiving and setting up a new one after all prior stress. First of all the box that the product came in was impressive looking and then the directions were very clear and extremely legible, so I did the first step, which was installing batteries in the weather station and the outdoor sensor. I had read reviews that told of needing to manually set the clock the first time even with an atomic clock Station. I had to step away for a few minutes before beginning that time input, and when I returned about two minutes later, the clock was set and perfect all by itself. I was very impressed. I then put the outdoor sensor near my eaves in the front and began watching the temperatures, both inside and outside adjust to what I believe is perfection. There was no work involved at all in setting up my weather station, and I am very happy with it. It’s a little larger than all the others I read about, and that is another huge plus. It’s on a shelf and I can see it while I’m sitting at the kitchen table to keep track of the time and check how I should dress for the day. This is definitely a five star product.

This weather station provides the most significant weather information most people want and it is at a value added price point compared with other weather stations. Indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity readings are accurate as verified by other instruments. Time and date data quickly synchronizes with the WWVB signal. The included manual is well organized making the set up process easy to follow. The weather station only requires batteries for long life power (no power adapter required), so it provides great flexibility in how you choose to mount the display. A backlight display is activated by pressing the button on the top of the display making it convenient to read if in dim lighting.
