The rubber gasket extruded slightly around the bolt holes. It was installed using a Proto inch pound torque wrench. Not leaking . I would try to find a better gasket. Maybe one with a metal skeleton???

This fit my transmission perfectly. I like how the gasket held the bolts while positioning the pan back in place.

I only run WIX filters in my vehicles. Have for years. Their filters are always well built and I have never had one fail. The gasket that comes with the kit actually sealed up great and didn't leak at all.

Perfect fit for my ‘95 Jeep Cherokee with the 4 speed automatic transmission.Not sure when the fluid and filter were last changed, but before I became the owner. So dropped the pan part way to drain fluid and access the old filter. I let the fluid drip for several days while working on other upgrades, then installed new filter, gasket and torqued to specifications. Added about 5 qts of fluid to bring it up to the full mark (after running through the gears, driving and rechecking when warmed up).

I installed this on my 1998 Jeep Cherokee with an automatic transmission. It was a pain in the butt to get the pan reinstalled with the gasket. I had to twist and turn and push for about an hour, but I finally got it to line up. This isn't a fauly in the filter or gasket design, but more of a product of the way the Cherokee transmission support is located.

Box included a solidly made filter unit, and TWO gaskets, a 17 bolt and a 19 bolt. As it turned out, my 99 Windstar had a reusable gasket, so I didn't need either gasket in the box, but it was nice that both bolt gaskets were included. Had I known my van had a reusable gasket, I could have purchased just the filter, but cost wasn't that much lower for just the filter, so I'm not out much.
