I've been getting slip ons for a few years now and wanted to get some laced boots again. I never had tried Wolverines before. These boots look really nice and are comfortable. I prefer composite toe but couldn't find it with this boot, either way these will do. I also was looking for the shorter style but again, they didn't have one with safety toe. These fit the budget and the leather feels superb, it's not stiff at all, and the boots fit true to the size I got them in. I'll see how they withstand some rigorous work and time. Pretty happy with them so far, very stylish!

These boots were too big. I wore them to work for 12 hours. I get off work. My feet are killing me. I’m a welder by trade I’m grinding on a piece of pipe the soul caught on fire of one of the boots I was going to return them, but I can’t now

Little difficult to put on! And on the ankle isn't that tight so it bends easily! But they look great!

la finition intérieur, n'est pas exemplaire. on sens les couture et les dénivellement du cuir. Le cuir est quand meme souple.

Bought these boots because a friend with wide feet suggested I’d give them a try too since I have wide feet. I had the thorogoods wide steel toe and literally gave them away a month after buying them because they were so tight around my toes that they hurt!!! I then bought the Carolina’s broad steel toe wedge boot and they were great til a wore them out. Now these wolverines, these boots fit great and enough room in the toe area. Only thing I changed was the insole they came with since they felt like stepping on bricks at the end of the day. It’s been a month and so far they feel great!!!! Update on 2/4/22 I worked on top of a Coke oven (for those that work making steel you know what a coke oven is). It was an emergency job and forgot my old boots at home and wore these. They only lasted about 30 min on top of the battery before the soles started melting. Yes it was my fault!!! But at this price I’ll be buying another pair again!!!

Impressed with the quality out of the boxFat Guy approved, I haul fuel on feet 12-14 hrs 5-6 days a week2-3 pairs a year is worth my comfort. Price is peanuts! I'm 6ft 6 385. Buy multiple pairs , if you are under 300lbs they will last 12 months. You don't need X-wide width, 1st pair broken in had sloppiness.Medium width will break in perfectly Trust me.

These boots are great! They have to be the most comfortable pair of boots I’ve ever had and there holding up very well. I highly recommend! One year update! Only complaint is the insoles and a new pair of gel insoles and they are still amazing! I’m not sure why there are bad reviews. I stand on my feet 10+ hrs a day as a machinist in an industrial environment and they have held up better than my redwing boots which cost over double.

Comfortable and light boot, specially like the soft rubber sole instead of soft foam, took about 2 weeks to break them in, but that’s typical. They are a snug boot, I’m a size 10 in timberland pro, or Dakota lined boot, 9-1/2 unlined dakotas, these I went with a 9-1/2 because they are unlined, glad I did. Great price, would definitely buy them again.

I bought these boots for the wedge sole, steel toe and 8” lace up (for ankle support). I work in a ship yard in the Pacific Northwest and I’m on my feet 8-10 hours per day on concrete and metal. I have wide-ish feet though I usually use normal width shoes. I ordered the extra-wise boots and I’m glad I did. I think the normal width would have been too narrow.Due to some thread coming loose after only two days I started a replacement return.I ended up with 2 pair of these, and there are some significant differences. One pair was made in Guatemala, the other in China. Not a big deal normally, happens all the time, but the characteristics of each pair are quite different. The Chinese leather is very soft and stretchy, like a baseball glove, the other leather is smooth, stiffer and I think offers better support. The soles on the Guatemalan boots are also stiffer and firmer (and slightly yellow), while the other soles are soft and more flexible: you can basically pull the toe to the heel. I don’t think the Guatemalan boots have steel shanks, but I noticed much less fatigue and discomfort in them vs the Chinese pair. The insoles in the Chinese pair look very nice, and precisely made. They have a good shape for the arch, the foam is thin, grey and pretty soft. The Guatemalan insoles look a bit less precise and the arch is not as well defined but there seems to be 2 different foams at the heel. The base foam is quite firm, maybe too firm, but the upper layer at the heel is softer. I usually replace the insoles anyway. The final difference I’ll hit on is in the padded tongue: the tongue on the Chinese pair has thin, firm-ish near-perfect padding where the other pair’s is very thick but very soft, so much so that it makes the boots more difficult to lace. Being 8” boots they are already not super easy to lace up and the padding on the Guatemalan boots really gets in the way.To sum up then, for actually working I prefer the boots made in Guatemala for the supportive soles and leather. Jury is out on the insoles, but the Chinese boots have the best tongue and are easier to put on. While it was the Guatemalan boots that started to unthread in the first place, I still think overall they are superior to the Chinese made pair.Of course none of this matters because you can’t specify the country of manufacture anyway, but it might explain the fairly different reviews.Long term update: the boots proved comfortable and wore well, but as others mentioned the sole cracked across the ball of my foot. Also, as the leather has stretched I think I should have bought the standard width boot. Jury is out on buying again: it’s a comfortable boot but the sole cracking sucks.

Hard to break in. But once they do they are comfy. Took 2 weeks to break in with mink oil
