I have used this as a ground tarp, cloak to keep the snow from building up on my pack and shoulders, rainfly and rainfly extension, temporary shade or rain shelter, and carry it with me on all my hikes and backpacking trips. The weather can change fast and dramatically in the Cascade mountains and this provides me options to deal with those changes. Love this tarp.

I bought this tarp as a ground sheet for my large popup tent because the tarp is large enough and inexpensive. The picture suggests grommets only at the four corners, but two sides have grommets in the middle for a total of six. One of the grommets on my tarp is loose and threatens to come loose, so I'll need to replace it at some point, but the tarp seems durable and the construction sound otherwise. I've used it as a ground sheet on a sandy surface, and it's none the worse for wear. I've also started watching tarpistry videos on youtube and experimenting with different tarp configurations to cover a bug net tent that will arrive tomorrow, though why I wouldn't just use a tent with a rain fly, which I already have, is anyone's guess ...

In the photo this is still only 1/4th it's full size. Under a 10' hammock.Lots of tie down spots, excellent stitching and coated grommets.Has a silver.side, and honestly could be used as a shelter tarp.Waterproof.Storage bag is adequate as long as you take the time to thoughtfully fold it back up.

We camping for 5 days, 4 of which were rainy and my tent stayed dry. This thing folds easier then your typical tarp so you can pack it and always have it in the car. Comes woth a small bag for it, about 6in x 9in rolls right up into it no prob!lem.

We bought this because every time we go camping, our bear box is in the sun and the food doesn't keep very well. We wanted a tarp to cover the top of the box with a reflective layer so that the bear box wouldn't absorb as much heat. This worked perfectly for the task. It is large enough to cover all of the bear boxes we encountered on a recent trip to 7 national parks and it kept the temperature inside the box cooler. Some bears crawled around on it one night and it didn't even rip, so it seems really durable. We're really happy with this purchase.

Tarp is stained in a couple places, so it seems Amazon/seller shipped me a used/returned product. Otherwise, the product seems nice for the price, and the size seems right for a 6 person tent footprint. The stake loops are small (don'textend far out), don't feel sturdy and will likely not last long. I have not yet tested how water resistant the tarp is.

So far I have used this tent material tarp for rain cover off of an existing awning, an emergency tarp for my motorcycle, and ground cover for a picnic.Folding is an easy one person job. The closure string for the bag is really weak and I imagine i'll replace with some paracord. For the price, this is a solid multipurpose tarp. It lives in my camping truck drawers and I have already reached for it while camping, hiking, and picnics! It is extremely light weight and the stake points at the corners are kind of pathetically weak. This might matter more to others. After rain, it dries super quickly.I will say - it's definitely great, but aesthetically, you're not going to win any instagram awards.
