I already reviewed this item the sticks looked like dark brown wood in the pic but they where actually light wood but they worked for our purpose to ring a cowbell!!

Broke the tip on one within a few minutes. It says punk on them but if you play anything even close to punk you will destroy these 12 dollar toothpicks in seconds! Just buy promark ...its literally like 50 cents more!

I’m a beginner. Been using 5A for a month, they slip out from my hands so I tried this lighter one. It works excellent and is suitable for me as well as the nice wood color!

I chose these sticks to use on my electric kit. I like the stained woodgrain finish. They are very smooth but not slick. They have not yet slipped out of my hands. I have the Alesis Turbo Mesh head kit so the snare and toms have 1/4-inch hard plastic rims which I have struck a hundred times; (sometimes even on purpose!) and I have to look really hard to find even a small ding in the wood. People who have written poor reviews about the durability of these sticks are probably using them beyond their capability. If you want to play heavy metal, get yourself some oak 2Bs.
