I made myself a quick bike wheel stand using scrap wood. It has done the job, but allowed for more movement than I cared for. This product is something I could have made myself, which is why I like it. I understand exactly what I would need to do and how much time I would have to invest to get a finished product of equal quality. I am very pleased with the construction and design.The material is high grade plywood. The cuts are clean and precise. All corners have been rounded and all faces sanded smooth. The plywood is raw and unfinished, but ready to accept stain, paint, or a durable coating like polyurethane. I will go with the latter so it can take more of a beating.The four individual pieces interlock snugly and do provide a stable base that restricts unwanted movement. I still ride a 26er. This product offered a configuration that fit my tire. There are several configurations, which make it possible to use with nearly all bike tires. It is very easy to take apart, which makes it mobile. You can't go wrong with this stand. Definitely worth the price.
