I am reviewing the “Wooden Step Stool, Durable Pine Wood, 23.6'' x 15.9'' Platform, 3.5'' High – Sturdy and Elegant Design, Supports Up to 450 lbs, Perfect for Kitchen, Bedroom and Indoor Décor”, sold by the DMTVAL store. I chose this item for both myself and my 78 year old mother to use when at the sink doing dishes or cooking on the stove top. We are both very short, 5’0 and under and have very poor balance. I don’t like for either of us to use narrow step stools as it is very easy to lose ones balance and fall. I liked the idea of having a step that is wider and longer so there is more room to move without fear of falling off of it. The wood for this step is very study. I have no fear that the wood will break or fail. I read another review that voiced concerns about the platform sliding. I have not had that problem. I use this platform on tile flood in front of the sink I have not had that problem. It was super easy to assemble. The platform that I received didn’t require any additional drilling, the holes aligned well. The screws that hold it together are quit long, which just increases my confidence in the durability of this step. The 3.5” height is perfect for us. I definitely recommend this step for those who need just that extra few inches. I hope this review helps and Happy Shopping!

Comes mostly assembled. Came with a screwdriver, but the screwdriver was so bent it was worthless. The hardware was fine and the holes were well made and countersunk.Works well either as two separate mini-pallets or one larger mini-pallet. Good height for lifting potted plants off the ground.Wood looks to be weather treated so should do well indoors and out, though I haven't had it long enough to verify how well it will hold up.The top slats are held on with brads rather than screws, so definitely not something I'd flip over to use as a low crate--which is unfortunate because it is a good size for gathering strawberries.

I don’t know where to begin. The most important thing to know is that this product is dangerous! I have smooth floors - wood and tile - and there is nothing on the bottom of this platform to keep it from sliding. I ordered this platform for my elderly 14 lb dog. She doesn’t need stairs to get on the bed but does appreciate a little step up. This platform slides even with her weight. What would happen if a person tried to use it? And since most people who need a little extra height are seniors and children, I think this product should be removed from the market unless it’s modified to meet all safety expectations.What else don’t I like? The description is totally off base. This is not elegant. It’s not ugly but it is made of poorly finished pine with one side of the platform that has edges that are not flush with the rest of the piece. I can’t figure out why. The piece looks like shipping pallets - hardly elegant!The directions for assembly are not clear but thankfully there are few pieces so you can figure out how it’s supposed to be put together. But the holes for screws are not properly drilled. I really didn’t want to have to drill this piece myself but that’s what I’ll have to do.I will make use of this platform but only with substantial modifications that I make. First and most importantly I’ll add non skid stickers to the bottom. I’ll drill the screw holes. And then I’ll use this platform as two pieces rather than one. The way this designed to be put together leaves the option of just using it as 2 separate pieces so my pup can have a platform near the sofa too. I might as well take advantage of the design to make it work better for my use.

Assembly was easy peasy although it didn't come with any extra screws (for the "just in case") like most products do these days but it isn't a huge deal. They also provide a small screwdriver for assembly but using a standard normal sized Phillips head makes it a ton easier if you have one! The product feels stout and while I don't weigh anywhere near the weight limit, I do weigh between 150-160 and it supported me fine with no issues at all. It is also made of pine as claimed.Only reason for 4 instead of five stars is that the pictures (I feel) make it look bigger than it actually is but the measurements are listed and they are correct so it's more my fault than anything. I also feel the price ($47 at time of order) may be a *little* high considering it's essentially a small box made of pine but the price of everything is up, including wood, so maybe pricing isn't actually too far off.One thing I really liked about it is that there are holes on both sides of both pieces so if you wanted to buy 2 or more, you could seamlessly attach them for a longer platform. Overall great and exactly as described!

The ad photos are definitely not to scale, so I didn't put it outside our front door (which is higher up) as I planned for our cat, but this makes a great step-out ledge for my portable steam room. The look matches the rustic wood sauna vibe, and I like the finish; no slivers and great color/ stain. Sturdy build. I'd also put plants/ a tree on it, and/or get more for a cool staggered look/ series of steps/ platforms and adding a bit of wood architecture in the room.

I have a thick matress on a regular sized bedstand but can't reach the ground with my feeet. I needed just a few inches to be able to comfortably sit on the edge of my bed. This worked step worked perfectly for my purpoe. It is good quality and went together with 10 strong screws. Place it to the side to avoid tripping over it until you get used to having it on the floor at the edge of the bed. This step will last forever, it looks great. and its form matches its function.
