I had to have my wife figure out the last corner. Each of the metal corners has a small rounded corner (on the inside) that will allow the outside corner of the frame to not square up. Keep an eye out for that. I am making smaller frames, so I cut the all thread rods. Another set is included if you anted to make larger frames. I may cut small dowels for those inside corners.

a little difficult to align on frames. need three hands to hold frame, hold rods in place and tighten screws.otherwise they do work.

This miter frame clamp is an excellent solution for gluing together picture frames. With all of the rods and stuff it can be a little harder to store in the shop than other comparable miter clamps--like a hand spring pinch clamps. But, I prefer using up a bit more storage in order to avoid damaging the sides of my work. Even more important to me is the clamping power provide by this clamp. It allows me some flexibility when gluing the miters. Another thing I like about this clamp is the ability to effectively use it on more applications such as cabinets, or any sort of rectangular or box shape that is being glued together. The one major let down with this product is the gap at 23.5" and 25.75". However others have already mentioned the trick with cutting rods in order to avoid this issue. So it certainly can be worked around.Included:8 - 24 inch rods4 - brass rod connectors4 - metal corners4 - brass turn dials for tightening the clampFour rods can be used to clamp anything under 23.5"x23.5". Eight rods can be used (Four sets of two rods connected together with a brass connector) to clamp anything 25.75"x25.75" and higher. You can also mix the two to achieve any rectangular size in between.Pros:*Great clamping power*Great gluing flexibility*No damage to the work pieceCons:*Clunky to store*Takes some time to setup for the different sizesAdditional Considerations:If you do not want to cut the rods in order to solve the known problem of it not being able to clamp pieces between 23.5" and 25.75", you could always look into getting a set of some hand spring pinch clamps for any frames that may fall into this size range. I wrote a review on some decent ones here: Be aware, these clamps leave little dimples in the sides. In my review, I talk about how to fix that. With frames that size, my fix--while more work--is something you will want to do anyway for reinforcement. If you have any further questions regarding the product in my review please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Bought this with plans on making some picture frames. This works as it is supposed to but is not the easiest to use. It works ok but I am looking for something better to make frames. Would not recommend this item.

Although this came without any instructions, it was no problem to find out what was needed in a short time to get the corners aligned and tight. The only thing to do now is go to the local hardware store and purchase threaded rod of a like-size and cut them into custom lengths for my frames. The rods provided are fine for general application, but the excess length from that needed for my frames is awkward to handle. Could just cut the rods provided to my size, but might as well keep them in case I want larger frames.

Just received the clamp /rods/corners. It appears it will probably do what it's supposed to....as soon as I figure out how to put it together. I'm a 64 year old woman & moderately handy. (I can usuallly put things together ok....with directions.) There were NONE in the plain white box..no pictures, diagrams, or words. I'm sure I will eventually get it , but would be so much easier with instructions. It looks sturdy and will no doubt do the job well. I like the fact that it expands to a fairly large size and was a good price.
