I used this to cut up to 1 inch branches with no trouble. Anything thicker, I would use a saw anyway. It has good reach and the handles are comfortable.

I like these because they are not adjustable. Easy to hang onto and they cut real well. No sliding handles

I purchased this as a gift for my mother who ultimately lives in the garden each and every day. She loves it. The tools come sharpened straight out of the box with no issues. They are not too heavy and they do the job perfectly.
