And the precision-machined guide rails are easy to adjust and hold your lumber firmly in place. What sets this saw apart from other sliding miter saws is its portable table saw design with full-size capabilities. At only 21 lbs, it’s easy to set up and move to different parts of the workshop or even take with you to the job site, yet its sturdy aluminum base gives it the leverage you need for this kind of work. With a smaller arbor, the motor can spin the blade faster than it could a full-size blade, which puts less wear and tear on the tool. This makes it more efficient and will increase the life of this saw. And the smaller footprint means you can actually keep the saw out of the way when you’re not using it. It's perfect for trim work and smaller cuts. I can easily transport it to and from the work site. I've used this for building window and door frames when renovating. You can install an adaptor on the dust extraction port so you can attach a VAC to collect debris. Works great in tight areas. Wouldn't recommend for larger projects. Mostly renos and smaller projects. The included material holder on the saw works like a charm. Once in a while the blade safety guard can interfere while cutting (will not track straight sometimes) and I will need to readjust and attempt the cut for a second time with success. Not a show stopper by no means. I love this little saw for what it can do.

I was skeptical of a battery powered miter saw, but after using it to build several work benches I'm a believer. Well worth the price.

Really cool lightweight and portable -- that is what I wanted -- instead of hauling my heavier bulkier miter saw I have in my workshop.I was very surprised how clean the cuts are made with the included saw blade. No tear out at all. Nice! -- I feel the faster RPM speed is what makes the difference!Things that I would like the company WORX to improve on to make it worthy of a 5 star review:1) They should not use a vinyl/paper sticker material for the miter scale (angle gauge). They should have it laser etched or stamped on the metal or aluminum surface -- that to me was a really huge disappointment.Because as time goes by, with wood dust and even outdoor work environments (humidity or even human sweat), it will eventually peel and you won't have a miter scale to read and etc.Also if you later update this miter saw, make sure the miter gauge supports both miter and protractor angles.2) They should provide some #8 screw holes on the sides of the fence so we can add a wooden zero clearance fence for smaller sized projects. I will have to wait until the warranty is over to have to drill holes myself to customize that.3) Though I love how you added a feature to hold down the material when cutting (i.e. the precision-machined guide rails), I think if you try to incorporate a way to also add a stop block feature -- for repeated length cuts, that would be an ideal feature and perhaps quite unique from the competition out there as far as features go for miter saws.That's all I can think of for the moment, I've only been able to use it for one day. If more things come up, I will update this review, but so far, I'm very impressed!P.S. I also like that amazon offered a 5 payment plan, that makes it easier on some end-user with a limited monthly budget -- so thanks for that!UPDATE:Oh, I like that it also has two round pocket holes (1-3/8" / 34.925 mm depth) on the back of the fence, my guess to be able to use miter saw clamps on each side of the fence (one per side).From my own measurements (with a caliper), we simply need the miter saw clamps to have a shaft that is 5/8" diameter (i.e. .6250 decimals / 15.875 mm) to drop then into those holes.These two holes will help putting a stop block for some short length repeated cuts.

It was kind of scary to use my old10 inch corded miter saw. I feel completely safe using this one. I even operated it with one hand and took cell phone video with the other hand. I happily gave away my old miter saw after I received this one.
