Exact fit doesn't fit. Screw holes are in the wrong place. The first product picture shows the genuine part with the RU label. What you get is the no name cheap part in the 2nd pic. Ground tab is held on by a flimsy rivet and is loose. You will need to modify your bracket or this part otherwise you won't be able to reinstall the dial. The shaft is misaligned in the hole. It's been running about 24 hrs now and will not cool the refrigerator to safe levels. 45 is as cold as it gets (the old thermostat would get it down to 41.)I don't believe this is worth the price, there are plenty of others on Amazon for 1/3 as much as this one, and it's not a name brand.

I had to troubleshoot my Fridge when it stopped working. Although this wasn't the issue, it is well made and seems solid quality. Amazon return service A++ I checked my blower in the freezer. That wasn't the issue either. What I did was unplug the unit for four days. Freezer was completely frozen over and vents were blocked. Week later seems to still be running strong. If it dies again it has to be Freon levels

I had to modify the bracket with tin snips to fit the screw holes. Temperature was 45F which is unsafe. 36F is ideal. Turn the screw counterclockwise on the side of the control to make it run colder. This screw is not accessible from the front panel, so you have to drop the control box to get at it.

Works great, but bracket didn't line up. Can be easily fixed with a zip tie or a couple twisty ties. The plastic dial is was holds it on anyways. The ties just keep the thermostat from spinning when you adjust the temperature. Be gentle with the metal tube, it's hollow. My first one was damaged during shipping, but that's not sellers fault. Replacement arrived quick.

My fridge stopped working. The compressor would not kick on which initially had me believing it was a start relay. But looking further, neither the evaporator fan nor the compressor fan were working. It is only 5 years old and the thought of spending $1200.00 on a new fridge was painful. After a bit of reading on troubleshooting forums, I felt the thermostat was the culprit. The repair is pretty easy. In about 25mins I had the old part out and the new one in. Plugged in the fridge and turned the dial on the temperature control and it began working again. I let it run for a few hours and it quickly got cold enough to to make ice. I don't know what caused the OEM thermostat to fail, but knowing that a $35.00 part saved me from spending $1200.00 feels good.

I purchased this product for Whirlpool WRS325FDAM04. This thermostat is about a 3/16 " too short between bolt hole centers. Although one side is slotted, the bolt hole to the right side shifts the installation to the right of the bracket so that shaft position won't allow the knob to be inserted after the bracket is screwed onto the control box. I attached this thermostat to the bracket with only one screw. Conclusion, this does not fit the Whirlpool WRS325FDAM04.Do not turn the shaft all the way CCW to OFF position. The actuator goes past the wide slot plate in the OFF position. This interference won't allow the shaft to ON position without manually pushing the actuator away from the wide slot plate with a small screw driver.
