This piece is much sturdier than your typical garden flag stand. It also has the added benefit of being a single piece, no screw together pieces, so there are no weak points. Only downside is it does not come with flag stops.

Love it! One piece wrought iron stand - no assembly needed. Very sturdy. Beautifully made. Reasonably priced. Garden flags ( purchased separately ) fit nicely and do not fly away when windy. Nice addition to your garden.

We now have two of these garden flag holders. We have them facing each other because a light shines on the flags at night. They are free standing and do not bend or turn in the wind. Therefore we did not have to tie the holders together at the top loops. This was a concern since we live in the Southwest and experience heavy winds. The flags themselves do get blown around but the holders do not move, period. They come as one unit and you do not have to put them together. This is a real plus. The previous garden flag holder we had came in four separate pieces which you screwed together. Concept was good but after a couple of days of heavy wind the tack welds on the couplings broke. The whole unit would then rotate in the winds. So in heavy winds, we had a rotating holder with blowing flags... enough to make you dizzy if you tried to watch it for more than a minute.We will be buying this product again when we purchase more garden flags.
