5-CORE CABLE
5-CORE CABLE control the sensitivity of the cable, it enables the wand to open the door faster and more safely.
The quality of 5-CORE CABLE is better than that of ordinary cables on the market, but it can meet the induction needs of the ground sensor.
RANGE ADJUSTMENT BOARD
Limit wand sensing range to sense your car and other metal equipment (such as lawn mowers), prevent false opening of your gate by lawn mowers through the Range adjustment board.
WORKING PRINCIPLE DIAGRAM
- Once the place of the wand has been determined, you can start installing the wand. Dig a hole approximately 2 inches deep and 24 inches long within 2 feet and parallel to the edge of the driveway.
- Next, dig a trench from this hole to a spot under the gate opener control box to run the cable from the WAND to the control box. Size of the trench is related to the size of the PVC conduit.
- Keep the WAND and the cable uncovered before the function has been tested OK.
WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
Definition of the 5 –core cable:
RED →Input Voltage (+)
GREEN →Ground/Common (-)
BLACK →Relay’s Common
BLUE →Relay’s Normally Open
YELLOW →Range adjustment potentiometer (POT)
- DC power supply (12-24 VDC)
- Connect the positive (+) wire of the power supply to the RED wire.
- Connect the negative (-) wire of the power supply to the GREEN wire.
- AC power supply (12-24 VAC)
- Connect the power supply to the RED and GREEN wire, no matter the polarity of the wires.

Hardware NOT included?! I get that different gates have different thicknesses etc, but NOTHING?? Not cool.UPDATED: I had my batteries for the fence die; either defective or solar box not working (not certain which, YET) and this lock, since I’d installed it near the top of my fence let me STILL feel like the gate was serving its purpose.I had to manually reach over and use my key, but once opened, after closing again it re-locks itself - with or without power from the board/box! So it DEFINITELY earned back the stars I’d not given it from lacking nuts & bolts.UPDATE (again!).. So after the gate mfg sent me a new solar control box, I hooked it all up again and GUESS which LOCK was the ONLY part that would NOT function correctly?.? YUP; THIS ONE!Knocked rating down to 2 stars HOPING I can find a resolution!! 😤😠

Works great with out ghost system and easy to install. Had no issues except digging in the clay we call dirt in Georgia.Update: just about a month in the ground it stopped working.New update: I found that the cable was damaged somehow and I was able to repair the cable and it works again. My only issue is the outer insulation needs to be more durable. Just glad it still works.

This lock is well made but it doesn't come with any mounting hardware nor instructions for the electrical connection.

Pretty good latch froze up once or twice in extreme winter and just needed a little lube other then that has worked perfectly

Used this with a Topens gate opener. Worked out of the box so far without the relay module. Solid construction.

I bought this as its considerably cheaper than the Topens product and appears to have the same specs.Its fully compatible with the Topens 500 series gate opener and is a useful addition to the system.I have had some issues with the lock binding but in fairness that is because the wind blows the gates past their end position. The lock will keep the gates locked together most of the time.

I bolt this gate lock & it was broken on arrival, was replaced. the next 1 went bad and found out only warranty 30 days.

My wand failed after 1 mo in service. Started randomly opening the gates at odd hours then finally failed completely sending an open pulse about once per second. My gates are at a remote site and stayed open for several weeks. It probably reduced the life of my stepper motors since they kept trying to open every second or so.I cant find any contact info for customer service and no one answered my first "question" about a contact. I asked a second time. I was waiting on doing a poor review to give them time to do the right thing, but I'm not feeling the love right now.
