It works like it should. The texturing is nice and I like the pattern. I can also discern it from my kids controllers so they can’t steal mine and get away with it :)

My original model-1537 controller finally started to wear down after years of use, thumb sticks were worn, buttons weren't clicking well anymore, and overall it just started to feel unresponsive. I decided to buy this newer generation controller because it matched the pattern of my original controller, but in white.A lot of the newer features on the model-1708 controllers I don't really use as a PC user, but I do enjoy the slightly textured grips these controllers have now. The buttons and sticks feel more solid, but that might just be my perspective coming from a worn controller.The pictures don't really do this any justice, the controller definitely looks better in person. It's monotone everywhere except for 4 little color coded dots next to each thumb button as the buttons themselves are monotone. The pattern is the same as the other Special Forces edition controllers.

So far this controller has been great. Connects fairly easily to my PC with or without USB. No lag at all with either wireless or wired. No drops in connection. Buttons are solid. The grip is just plastic so very slippery if my hands are sweaty, but that's a problem with me and not the controller. Triggers are very smooth. High quality for the price. And it looks great.

had this for over a year. i’am very impressed. no problems at all. just go easy with it. once it falls, it stills works great! totally recommend it! great pricing along with it too. once it comes in the mail, the color is brighter than the picture and it’s reallt cool and amazing !

Overall, the controller works well. Not to mention that the packaging is okay. I've had the controller for about a month now, and it is still working good. The only thing to note that I've experienced so far is that the D-Pad is slightly unresponsive sometimes. I would press any direction (especially down) on the D-Pad and it would either have a one second delay, or register it being pressed twice. It is not that big of a bother, in my opinion.EDIT:I would also like to add that the headphone jack does not work. If you like to play online, don't buy this controller.

I was skeptical on getting this one since the Covert Forces one I used to have had a high gloss paint finish, which made it very hard to keep a grip on, especially since my hands get sweaty while playing. I had the Dawn Shadow controller, and I LOVED how the paint finish was a rubberized matte finish, since it made the controller feel amazing and it never slipped out my hands. Upon receiving this item, it does have a matte finish, but it's also more textured than the Dawn Shadow controller, so it feels even better yet! The LED is a grayish color instead of white so it doesn't offset too much white color on the controller, and the back of the controller is textured as well. If I could get this one engraved somewhere, I would. Instead of getting one through the Xbox Design Lab. All in all, this is an amazing controller. I feel like I need to "baby" it with how awesome it is, because this is by far the best and most well-made Microsoft controller I've ever owned to this day. Definitely would recommend.

3/5 stars; for a few reasons.1) I personally preferred the Xb360 triggers. Less squishy and more precise.2) this supposedly is a Xbox-one S controller checking the model no and such; but Bluetooth connecting was just NOT a thing that happened.. had purchased the adapter "dongle" for PC just in case and I'm glad I did.. because this would have been a 2 star review if not..3) thumb pads feel higher than the original XB360 controller; they used to feel really comfortable to use and now they just feel like you're sitting your thumbs on a tower... less precise feeling;Positive note? I do love the integration of the battery pack; no more hump.. The adapter was a chinch; to plug and play with.. pairing was a breeze.. drivers AUTO- INSTALL which is both a pain in the ass and a good thing; bad for techies; and good for "Less-Than-Savvy tech" people and kids who don't know where to find, and install them.and finally.. it's the best of both worlds.. ergonomic controls for things like driving cars in games and anything else you could want; while being at the machine that you wish.

This is a really nice controller, my son absolutely loves it. It doesn't come with a rechargeable battery, but you can plug it into the xbox usb and recharge easily. My son really likes that it is different than your standard black controller, and the price is absolutely right. Thank you!
