Worked wonderfully, hassle free and nothing to set up. Worked on Mac m1 with type C port by simply plugging it in. Just what I needed to digitalize some VHS tapes!

This actually works. Opened QuickTime, selected this as my video source and recorded from my VHS player. Awesome. Surprised this worked for the price!

Bought this to move 8mm videos to digital. Setup was pretty easy but the software the manual says to download could not be found on the internet even after spending 2 hours looking. The manual was obviously written by a non English speaker. So I tried using QuickTime as another reviewer suggested. Got it to work, BUT the audio is way out of synch with the picture (like more than a second or two) and the picture is way too dark and way too grainy. Unusable. It was only seventeen dollars, but that's all money wasted as well as my time trying to get it to work.

this looked like it would work to connect my MacBook to our projector, not so. It is only good for data in one direction. look closely before buying.

The quality isn't great but it works as advertised. I had to color correct my home movies with iMovie after capturing them with QuickTime (I followed the instructions in another review) but overall the process was flawless. It works great with my M3 Max MacBook Pro running Mac OS 14.6.(Sonoma)

I'm docking a star for the unhelpful instructions, but it does work and you really don't have to download anything special!Mac instructions:- Plug in your external device using this product.- Open QuickTime Player.- Select File > New Movie Recording- Play your external video. You should see it on your screen now and be able to click record. If not (or if you're seeing something else like a feed from your phone's camera), click the down arrow next to the record button and select Camera > "USB2.0 PC CAMERA" and Microphone > "USB2.0 MIC."
