This product did exactly what I needed it to do, add threads to a metal pipe that I had to cut the old threads off so it could fit.Some things to Consider with your decision.1. The threader itself is heavy which is great! But it may be difficult to thread a pipe by yourself. I ultimately had to drill holes in the pipe I was threading and bolt it to a bench so I could use the threader by myself.2. Start with the next size up threader than you need, then after the pipe is "scored" use the appropriate size.3. Use a piece of steel wool when complete to remove any extra shavings.Other than that, Happy Threading!

These do very well if you learn the proper techniques for threading pipe. If you haven't had any experience you should watch the numerous videos available.There is no documentation or instructions included with this tool.One helpful note as with all threading, you thread the material until you feel it start to bind up. At that point you reverse your direction of threading until you feel the die clear itself of the cuttings. You will both hear the cuttings clear and the die will free itself up. Then reverse the direction back to the cutting direction and continue to repeat this procedure until you are finished threading.Many instructional videos do not teach this because these videos are also being done by inexperienced first time users not experienced in the proper threading technique. It is important to follow this procedure to get clean even threading and prevent damage to your dies.You must also oil the threads while cutting the threads.

Does what it's supposed to. I probably would go a different route if your a professional, but it seems good quality for random projects
