To be clear. I’ve used Yakima racks since I got my first car and they are REALLY WELL MADE. I have nothing bad to say about their quality ...but these straps are just too short for modern mountain bike tires. Maybe I missed the longer version, but with this size I keep stripping off the last tooth as they just barely connect.

This replacement wheel strap is no longer available from Yakima, but Amazon came through again! Faced with the prospect of jury-rigging some sort of replacement for my damaged wheel strap or replacing my 10+ year old Yakima hitch-mounted bike rack, I was quite pleased to find the Yakima wheel strap on Amazon. The strap is the exact replacement that I needed and it shipped from Niagara Cycle Works as promised. A satisfied Amazon customer once again!
