This collet set can adapt your router for a variety of functions - use your imagination. It opens up a lot of machine tool bits for use in your router, and can also do double duty as a collet extender when you need to make deep or reverse reaches in special cuts.The tool includes the requisite collet wrench. Don't lose it or you will be out of luck. This unit fit my Bosch router just fine, and allows me to add jigs and router face fixtures to my router without sacrificing cutting depth.A handy problem solver. Only does what it does, but does it well...but do note that it can doubles on a drill press for using collet friendly machine tools on the drill press.A winner, five stars. No issues. Well made,

I measured the runout on this tool to be 7/1000, which is not good for precision work but should be ok for wood projects. Since this tool was presented as a woodworking tool, perhaps it is not a good idea to look at it for metal work. I do not have a project to use it extensively yet. When I do, I'll come back with additional comments and rating.

This item is not what I expected. First of all, when I first used it, there was tremendous vibration on the router table. Upon closer examination, I found out that this item wobbles during operation and is out of center, probably due to faulty manufacturing. What I suggest is purchase a separate extension that will accommodate your 1/4" and 1/2" shafts and not the types that use interchangeable "Collet"

This collet extension has a very significant runout. I do not recommend using it.

Great tool to use for the router table but it does create allot of vibration, I can't turn my router up all the way out else things fall off the shelf. But rest to use just wish it was more in tune with higher speed
