I purchased two pair 1 white, 1 black. My son loves how well they protect him while sliding into the bases he steals. They sit just right on his waist & don't ride up his legs. A+++. The only thing I don't like is that I didn't buy more of them!

I ordered the smallest size I could for my 10 yo son as this is geared more to adults. These look exactly as pictured. The small size looks to be a great fit for my son. He has baseball practice twice a week with each practice learning how to slide correctly. He is so looking forward trying these out tonight. The inside front also opens so that he can put his cup in the pocket, so these really take care of two needs at once.

If You've ever slid into home plate in a baseball game, you know these sliding shorts can only be a POSITIVE addition to your sports gear.__True to size ... that is ALWAYS A PLUS__Made of 18 % spandex means these have a good amount of compression and allows free movement as well__All seems are well-sewn and I found no flaws in workmanship__The waistband is wide, which is also a plus in active wear__Shorts legs are long enough to be comfortable while running etc without riding up__Machine wash and dry, but as the tag says and I know from experience, do not use hot water and only dry on low heat. NOTE: I actually dry things like this for a very short while and then finish by air drying. This will help in keeping the spandex in good shape__The sports cup pocket is adequate for adding your own cup__BOTTOM LINE: Very happy with this purchase and recommend them

My son has played baseball all of his life. Even though baseball is not considered a contact sport like football or hockey, it is important to keep your body as protected as possible, while still being able to perform at the highest level. Every season he has played, we would have to buy him new sliding shorts to protect his outer thighs and glutes for those times when he would slide into base. Also, sliding shorts have a pouch to insert an athletic cup to protect him from those bad hops that inevitably would find a non-padded part of the body to hit. You know where I'm talking about.But every season his sliding shorts would tear and rip and be gradually worn away over the course of the 12-15 games he would play. We've tried all of the name brand sliding shorts, and all had about the same durability. These sliding shorts so far have been better than what we used in the past.After his practices and games so far, they look exactly like they did when we opened the package. No evidence of wear after 10-15 slides. My son has also commented that they are actually more comfortable than the ones we spent a lot more money for. He likes the snug fit, and the feeling that his thigh and groin areas are well protected.Anyone who needs protection in the areas mentioned above should give these a try. I highly recommend these to all athletes.
