I usually use the round shape barbells for my aquatic workouts. I was anxious to see what type of resistance the triangular shape would provide. First of all, they were very comfortable to grip and are well made. I believe they will last for a long time. I found that they provided medium resistance, so l was able to exercise with them comfortably. I believe l will start off with these and then end off my workout with more resistance. I definitely recommend these for toning.

I use these to add a medium-level of resistance to portions of my aquafit workouts. The triangle shape gives a little more versatility than the round ones, because i can aim the flat portion of the weight (it’s not a weight, but a buoy, but humor me here!) into the main resistance direction for more resistance, or aim the pointy part for decreased resistance. The grips are comfy. My club uses these exact bouys several times a week, so i know these won’t fall apart on me. When i first started using buoys, i used some that were too big and I realized after tiring out too early in my workouts that it’s better to use a smaller, more medium size, and just increase the strength/power of the move to increase resistance and, if i’m having any pain or if i’m tiring too quickly, to dial down my moves. With a larger buoy, you’re just stuck with a really intense workout the whole way through and you can end up with an injury. Overall, very happy with these!
