But one of them doesn’t stay in place on the pipe until there is some pressure from clamping something down, which makes it a little tricky to maneuver initially. Not sure if that’s how pipe clamps are supposed to be made as these are my first set ever.They fit nicely on 3/4” pre-cut, pre-threaded black steel pipes that were recommended with them on amazon.

I feel these are every bit as good as the other major brand. The only real difference is that there are more threads per inch on the crank than the competition. I made some pads for them out of cork and some glue that I bought elsewhere on this website. Now I can glue up furniture without worrying about marring or slipping.

Used these for a walnut cutting board after gluing it up. They hold well.

These are very well built and strong.Used them on 6 foot pipes for a large glue up, worked great.

I found these to work as well as name brand. The lack of a stop is pretty much a non-issue. Lots of cheap ways to deal with that.

These things are better than they have any right to be at this price. I'm a hobbyist woodworker but I do multiple projects a week so I do put my tools to good use. As such, I usually subscribe to the purchase once, cry once line of thinking. That said, I needed a few long pipe clamps for a large butcher block glue up that I wouldn't likely use often afterwards so I opted for these more affordable ones over a name brand. I was very pleasantly surprised. They performed every bit as well as my more expensive clamps. Smooth operation and plenty of clamping force. Now if I were a professional and a broken clamp meant lost time and, therefore, money, I would have coughed up the extra ~$15 each for some Besseys but all of my projects are done on my own time so it was worth the risk to me.

The only thing I don’t like is that the springs for the end of the pipe so clamps won’t fall off don’t come with the clamps.

Impression After A Few Months: So when I got these I was impressed. They seemed to work well. Now after using them for a few months I am not as impressed with them. They do work yet not as good as Pony clamps. The wrist pin that holds the ball in the socket has come out of several of them, not hard to hammer back in yet never did that on a Pony. The threads are not machined well so they jam up, Ponys never do.Would I buy them again? No. I'll stick with Pony.First Impression: I have a custom furniture business and you can never have enough clamps. Need to save $$ as much as you can to make profits so I gave these a try. They work as good as my Pony clamps. I'll be buying about 3590 more sets. Then I might have enough.
