This item came without the gym mat and with no instructions. Amazon's response was to offer a discount so small that it doesn't cover the cost of buying a similarly sized gym mat or returning it. I now have to try to wedge this thing into my car so that I can send it back. This is a ridiculous price for a bar without a mat

For the amount of money i paid for this bar which is excellent but pricey it needs to come with the mat which the description said it does. I really hope it ships seperatly and i get it soon or i will be returning the bar. Not very happy.

My daughter is 10 and in 4th grade doing back hip circles and straddle glides. The first set that arrived had rubber feet on the corners but it didn’t seem to help keep the unit from sliding. We received a replacement (originally, they sent the wrong color-they were fast and great to work with on the replacement set, great customer service. Had UPS get the return shipping label and pick up from our home making 3 consecutive day pickup attempts at no cost to us. We used the same packaging as the replacement bar came in and that was a bit of a challenge because the styrofoam was broken and the box was torn and unstable- it needed a lot of packing tape to secure box) and the replacement had different grips on the rubber feet and that made the bar much more secure on the carpet and not move. My daughter was sooo happy. She is on the bar all the time practicing and doing strength training with pull-ups & loves it. It does lift up (tilts off floor) when the bar is raised up to full height and she does a power move like a back hip circle or straddle glide, but it has helped her a ton when lowered to practice everything she needs in her 1st year of competition. We got the black kip bar with black mat and we would buy again. We will eventually get the extenders & second bar and really like this company and the quality of the product. It probably is a younger girls bar (up to 9yrs or 10yrs) because our daughters friend is in 1st grade and can do anything on it with no problems as she is smaller & weighs less. This bar helped our daughter to gain confidence and to enjoy the bar and she improved so much in such a short time with getting on the bar. I would highly recommend this product. It was also super easy to assemble I did it myself in about 30 minutes. I recommend watching the video for tips- I would attach bar to side posts before putting into base supports. It’s easier to line up holes. You may need to poke holes on bar first as it’s wood and may need help getting through pre-drilled holes. Also when doing the bolts I used a socket on one side and a wrench on the other to help tighten as it started to “spin”. Good luck- your daughter will love. If she is 10yrs or above 50 lbs I would recommend getting extensions on legs or be able to secure it to the ground for more stability.

Since we have been on "stay at home" orders my daughter has missed her competition gymnastics. She was really missing bars. We decided to get this and she has been so excited since. If you are gymnasts you know how important it is to keep your calluses. This bar is helping her do this. My husband bought some pads and put it outside on our patio. My niece came over and had fun just playing on it. The only thing was putting it together. My husband is an engineer and can put things together very easily. He did not find this easy. He had to go up to Home Depot to get some screws to finish it. Other then that is is very sturdy and overall we are happy with it.

So far good. The bar is a bit difficult to raise or lower and/ maneuver out of the slots. The directions could have been a bit better for assembly. Once it was assembled, the base needed to be heavier. The unit moved and alid. I had to purchase plywood and place with gymnast mats over so the entire unit didnt move. Gymnast daughter pactices on it. The base could also be a bit better/heavier with anti slip grippers. Overall, for the price point is right for what one gets. Better equipment costs more, cheaper equipment costs less. This is middle of the road.

My daughter absolutely loves this bar! She wakes up and goes right to the bar. And before bed she has to do her flips on the bar. We gave it to her for her 6th birthday! Shes a peanut, 38inches, so the lowest setting is perfect for her. She will be able to have this bar for years as it has many heights to adjust too! Its sturdy and seems to hold up well, even her 7 year old brother who is extremely tall, 56 inches and 87lbs, loves playing on it every now and then and it holds up with him too. My only complaint is, it was missing some of the screws. We searched through all the packaging and never found screws so my husband had to go out and buy some. Other than that, this bar is perfect for our budding gymnast!

When I saw it was made in China I had my doubts. I was expecting something worth about what I paid - $212 bucks. What I received was way better than expected. This product is VERY sturdy and safe. It appears to have been made with quality parts too. My daughter is 7 and about 60 lbs. This bar is very sturdy and I have no problems with her swinging around on it - even at the highest setting. The bar even holds my 11 yo daughter who ways about 130. It barely bends or flexes when she sits on it (at the lowest setting of course). I believe the 120 lb weight limit is modest and it could probably hold up to 140 lbs on higher settings if you got the leg extenders. I believe it is sturdy for a child up to 9 yo and 90 lbs (without the leg extenders) at any height. The bar is made of a solid material. It was very easy to assemble, and I had it together in 20 minutes. You can't beat the price for this high quality bar.

Nice and sturdy bar. Daughter is 40lbs and is able to do kips, mid hip circles and dismounts with no problem. She is having fun doing her routines and just simply playing on it, swinging and doing pull ups. I was worried that it would need the extensions to keep it sturdy, but at it's highest height, it was still stable. I have a 4x8x2 mat on the bottom that also helps keep it stable. All in all very happy with this bar. It was also easy to assemble. Just have a couple of wrenches to tighten the nut and bolts. The only thing that would have been nicer would have been the way to attach the bar. it's 8 screws, (4 on each end). it does hold it fine, but because they are screws, the heads are not flush, so you wouldn't want your gymnast to grab that part. I wrapped it with some gaff tape, but if there were another way to attach it, that would have been nice, but it's a small issue.
