Bought this as a replacement cable to power a NZXT Kraken x53 watercooler. I've used 4 other brands of cables with this power supply and have had them burn out hard drives and almost destroy the Kraken watercooler due to incorrect pinout. But buying cables made by big companies like Corsair can be pricy. This said it works with the RM850X so I gave it a try and it actually powers my devices properly now. The last cable I used started smoking and almost destroyed the port on my watercooler (see attached), but this one works great.

I thought it would be an easy fix like a replacement cable, instead, after completely replacing the PSU, I find that the drives are fried 100%, after previously only one wouldn't boot anymore, but two were active. Now none will boot, new cables from a new psu. Destroyed all my work. Refunded. Would rate lower if I could. Buyer beware.

Had purchased a new SSD drive and needed a new cable so ordered this one. Plugged it into my computer and the other drives to which it immediately fried all of the connected drives losing me years of photos, documents, and other information stored on that drive.

needed this to connect 3 SSD to my PSU, it handled the amperage load well and was easy to use

I am rewriting my review to apologize. This company delivered the correct product but it turns out that my Power Supply was outdated and did not have the correct spots for 12V and 5V. This resulted in me erroneously thinking that all of the cables I was ordering were incorrect. So if you have a ThermalTake Power Supply that's at least 5 years old, check that the power is correct before plugging anything into the cables.
