The cutter is simple to use and cut through the flexible pvc pipe perfectly. You just open the cutter all the way and then squeeze the handles repeatedly until the blade cuts through the pvc. Then close the cutter and secure it with the wire loop on the end of one of the handles.

I bought it to fix my copper line, but when trying to cut the copper tube, it not only doesn't cut straight (90 degrees), but it also smashes the pipe, which makes the end all deformed, so it's of no use for my application. Very disappointed and I'm returning the item.

The product is inexpensive, durable and the blade is sharp. The biggest complaint I have with this tool is that it doesn't cut straight as it has very limited baring surface between the handle and the the blade. It will deflect to the side when you cut anything with it, resulting in an angular cut. Tightening the bolt won't fix the problem as it's too large a gap between the blade and the handle. To fix this issue, remove the screw and take the blade out. You need to place shims on either side of the blade. The cheapest and most durable method I could think of is using aluminum from a beverage can. Using scissors, cut two small rectangles out of an aluminum beverage can that are about .75 inches wide by 1.5 inches long. Fold them in half so they are .75 inches square and use a paper punch to put a circle cutout in the center of each of these folded aluminum shims. Place an aluminum shim on either side of the blade and slide back in the handle. This may take some wiggling as the tolerance is much tighter. Place the screw back in and tighten. Trim away the excess exposed shim using a sharp blade. You now have a cutter that will cut square and is water proof. Probably more work than it's worth vs buying a better set of cutters to begin with. But they work.

I’ve only tried cutting vinyl aquarium tubing with it so far, but it definitely facilitates quick, smooth and straight cuts which is what I needed. Hand cutting tubing with a knife never resulted in straight enough cuts for reliable connections. This has fixed that problem for me. The product is sturdier than I expected for the price, which is always a plus. The only improvement I would suggest is the inclusion of some basic directions with the packaging on how to use the tool.

This works as well, if not better than the Milwaukee one I have. I needed to replace the blade, but at $26 too pricey, so I bought this. Works great. Don't know why the complaints that it feels cheap or doesn't cut straight. It weighs a bit less than the Milwaukee, but seems well built. As for cutting straight, I had no issues with it. Just be sure the blade lines up with what you want to cut. I could have bought 3 of these fir the price of one Milwaukee blade. Nice to get good value for the money.

I've used this daily since May 2021 in Arizona attics and the blade still cuts pvc with ease. The cuts arent perfectly straight, but they are just fine for plumbing a drain for HVAC. The blade is still sharp and cutting great, just ordering a new pair since all the guys at work started getting these in orange and yellow after using mine so Im getting a blue pair before mine walk away.

Listen, I’m a female and these were very easy for even me to use! PVC isn’t easy to cut if you don’t have the right tool! I bought these for my boyfriend for a project he was working on and these cut into pvc so well. You know when you go to Home Depot and they have the pvc cutters there that you can use freely? They’re somewhat like those, but easier to use (because they come new haha). They create a little bit of a slanted cut, however when I asked my boyfriend if he liked his “cutters” just now he turned to me and said, “I LOVE them. I love them so much!” So I had to write the review. These are affordable and really easy to use!
