In general: Found the item works as expected.Price: For the price we did not expect high end housing but since it’s going under a bathroom cabinet, all that matters is it works, the plastic housing is decent and secure.Functional: yes. Easily captures motion.Setup: We have a usb connected 4’ led light strip to it, taped to the underside of a wall mount vanity cabinet. When people walk in it turns on. Excellent!Timer: By factory default it seemed to stay on for approx 30 seconds.To adjust the duration (could not find notation but previous comments mentioned it’s possible to do. Do at your own risk but easy to do with some confidence in opening these kinds of small housings)- gently pry open the housing and remove the back mounting plate.- Inside you will see a small blue dial on a circuit board.- Every 1/8th turn counter clockwise with a small slotted screw driver ( think eye glass screw driver) seems to increase on time duration by 30 seconds.- Trial and error approach got us to 2minute on time which was plenty for the bathroom.Installation: was easy with double sided tape and there is an option to use screws as per the two holes on either side of the housing.If we could suggest any other improvement it would be to provide an easier way to adjust the timer either via a dial on the side or a slider of some sort so you wouldn’t have to open the unit. Would help those not as skilled in these things.If not for the timer adjustment extra step, this would be a five star.We would recommend this.

I use this for a cat fountain and I didn't have a plug nearby so I was using a battery pack for it it didn't work very well. It worked a couple of times and then it stopped the items still worked if I plugged it into a USB wall plug but I wanted it for a battery pack so it was useless to me I returned it.

I connected one of these motion sensors to activate a small water fountain for cats. As advertised, the device turns on the usb-powered water pump whenever it detects motion near the sensor. It will sense one of the cats approaching, as well as people walking by a few feet away. I prefer this system over having the pump running continuously, and it's been working well for several weeks now.I will say that the sensor did not appear to work when I first connected it to power, but after a few minutes it began operating as it should and has not skipped a beat since.. So don't give up too soon if the device doesn't seem to work properly when first connected. In my case, that was just a temporary glitch.

Easy to add to our cat watering fountain, that has a USB small submersible pump. The water fountain now only runs when cats are sensed within about 5-6 feet. This combined with water feeder is a lot better than a trips to our veterinarian, as one cat was prone to urinary tract infections, and now they both drink plenty of water, and we have not had blood in urine since then.

This is a perfect fit for under cabinet lighting. It's very sensitive. The lights come on as soon as I turn the corner into the kitchen about 10ft away. The factory setting for shut off is a little short so I pulled the back of the sensor off and adjusted the timing screw. It'll take a little trial and error to find the right setting for you. Mine will shut off about 3 minutes after it detects no motion. My LED strips had a dimmer built in that reverts to being off after power is cut to them. So I desoldered the dimmer from the strip and spliced this motion sensor between the dimmer and the strand. Now the dimmer gets constant power and this motion sensor controls the power to the strip. The dimmer still functions perfectly. It was an easy mod. The motion sensor also comes with two tiny screws and a double sided adhesive to fix it in place.

This motion sensor is better than my wireless motion sensor alarm. It is almost double the range of the wireless one, so I replaced the motion sensor with this sensor and it works well. They both said 5m but that one is under some kind of condition obviously.

Pro:1. lightlening fast delivery.I ordered in the midnight and received very next day at 2pm.It is amazing in winter time where the neighborhood covered with heavy snow.2. Item works perfectly.I used this as sensor for LED strip lights in pantry. It will immediately turn on the LED lights when the door is open.3. small size sensor with right size extension cordsI can attach to the proper suitable location for most effective result.Con:If you do not move in about 20 seconds, the light will turn off. However, for PIR sensor, it is already did the best job it can do.The price should be a bit lower for such a small device.I still give it a 4 stars due to the price.

This pairs really well with an Ikea HÅRTE desk lamp since the power cord for this lamp is USB. When I first plugged it in, it was shutting off all the time if I sat too still. The photos mention that you can adjust the time delay. This is true, but its quite hard to do and there are no instructions. The cover pops off and there is a little tiny blue and grey dial on the circuit board. You need a small screwdriver to turn it, and there are no calibrations or indications of which way to turn. It was hard to turn at first and then it snapped and turned easily. I thought maybe I had broken it. I turned it some 300 degrees CCW, plugged it back in, and now it works great. The lamp stays on while I sit still and work, and turns off when I leave.

We actually have FOUR of the units and they all work perfectly with our light strips. As the other review states, yank the back off of the PIR and use a small flathead screwdriver to adjust the timeout period. We have done this many times so it now takes us under 30 seconds to complete. Your first time will be confusing because there are no time indicators for the adjustment so you need to adjust and test.This is a great value and works beautifully as a motion sensor. We have one of these in our shower. Our shower door is clear glass and the motion sensor cannot see through glass, which is PERFECT. We do not want the lights triggered while using the bathroom sink

This switch is great and simple to install. I used it to toggle the cats' water fountain on/off. When the cat enters the room, the water fountain turns on. When the room is empty, the fountain turns off. Great way to save power!
