1) Cool down the battery before recharge it. Cool down the battery before use it.
2) Please don't use the vacuum cleaner when charging the battery.
3) Store it in a clean, dry, cool place away from heat and metal objects.
4) Don't leave the battery dormant for long periods of time, We recommend using the battery at least once a month.

This does not work with the Dyson V8 Animal+. Ordered as the specs say it was supported. Installed and charged overnight. The battery seemed to be charged according to the LED lights, but when trying to run in either low/maxx, the vacuum would only run for 5 seconds and then quit. Multiple reinstalls didn't help. Nothing is blocking the airways and this is the 4th battery i've purchased over the years to replace the original, so this is not my first attempt and not user error. I then installed on a friends V8 Animal (not the plus) and the same issue happens. This battery is being returned and we are choosing a different one. YMMV.

I purchased this for our Dyson V8, and it connects and provides a charge to the vacuum, but it does not charge properly through the Dyson charger, so this will not work for my needs. I'll be returning it. If you have a set up that allows you to charge it through other means perhaps it will work for you, but I wanted to share this review because all the existing reviews are of products that people received for free.
