I bought these for straining coffee poured from my French press and it works great. No grounds are getting through this. I‘ll use them for soup skimming too so they will do double duty. They are well made and look like they’ll last forever. I’m very happy with my purchase.

The quality of this spoon is great. Not cheaply made. I liked it so much that I bought more to give away as gifts to my friends and family. If you buy this you will really enjoy it and find many uses for it.

These are very nice especially for the money. I use them in the kitchen all the time. I make clarified butter and these make skimming off foam and solids very easy.

I hate floaters in my soup broth and these spoons are big enough to hold and filter those little bits of stuff in my soup broth. The handle is long enough so I don't burn my hand while I'm reaching into the pot. The handles are strong enough to pick up chicken and ham bones when I'm making broth. Great tool for the kitchen.

I perfected poaching eggs in the microwave in just a small silicone bowl of boiled water. However, getting the egg(s) out intact was always a bit tricky. I tried a different type of skimmer but it wasn't ideal. This skimmer has a reasonably short handle, flatter bowl and finer mesh. I ordered the small and it is the perfect size and depth to "fish out" my softly poached egg. Don't say this often, but this really made my day when I opened the package. It couldn't be more perfect. It was intended to skim off fat from soups, buy it is definitely a multi-tasker.
