The ProTapes Pro Gaff tan gaffer's tape is 11 mil thick, 1" wide, and 55 yd. long, and is made from matte cloth with a rubber adhesive to conform to irregular surfaces and remove cleanly without residue from most surfaces. The tape, also known as gaffer or gaffers' tape, is printable and suitable for a range of applications including wire and equipment labeling as well as temporary cable hold down and sealing. It resists abrasion and can be torn by hand. The tape can be used outdoors and withstands temperatures from 50 to 200 degrees F. Tensile strength is 45 lb. per inch.

I thought gaffers tape was supposed to stick to anything -- for a long time. Well, guess what? It doesn't. My husband used it back in the day when he was stage managing in live theater and recommended it to me for a project designed to keep a wire hidden from view down the hallway in our home. Bottom line -- it doesn't stick. Oh wait. It sticks for the first day. Or for the first moment. But not after that. Waste of my money.

I am less than impressed with this tape, which I bought to affix long electrical cords to the floors/walls of my home so they wouldn't be exposed. Less than a month after I placed the tape, It is coming off the surfaces in several places. It seems to have lost much of its stickiness. It's true, as others have said, that it tears easily and looks the way it does in the pictures. However, the main purpose of tape is to stick, and I'm disappointed in this tape's performance-- especially given the hefty price tag.

Excellent tape. Sturdy and sticks well. I had been looking for replacement sills for a '94 E320 Mercedes Cabriolet, which are no longer available. Problem was a hole in the sill, caused most likely by driver's seatbelt getting caught when the door was slammed? Thought of using masking tape, but it's really light weight paper, and would not have held up well. Finally came across this strong tape, which has covered the hole wonderfully, stays stuck there, and is so close to the sill colour that no one notices the tape repair. Great value indeed ~~!!

Bought it for securing wires in a studio, but find it has multiple uses. Tough and durable, good adhesion but comes up relatively cleanly when it's no longer needed. Easy to work with. Marks easily with Sharpies for labelling. I plan to keep it in stock.
