Did the trick for attaching brackets to concrete footers (long story). Held sharpness, only needed one bit for the job.

I bought this masonry drill bit set for some DIY projects around the house, and it has performed flawlessly. The 5/16” size is perfect for various tasks, and the carbide tips make drilling through tough materials like concrete and brick much easier than I expected. The set works great not just on masonry but also on tile, wood, and even plastic. Each bit feels durable, and they haven’t worn down after multiple uses. The blue finish gives them a nice look and makes them easy to spot in my toolbox.Overall, this set does exactly what it promises. If you need reliable and versatile drill bits for different materials, I highly recommend this product

These are good quality 5/16" masonry drill bits. As with any masonry bit, they have a lifespan and these are perhaps better than average. I got them for a job where I was connecting a box to concrete and expected I'd go through more than one of these (the reason for ordering the set of five). However, one bit did the job and is still good to go the next time I need a 5/16" masonry bit.

I also ordered these at the same time as the 3/8 masonry bits from the same seller. I used a bit to enlarge a hole for my garden gate. The gate rod was 3/8 and I used their 3/8 bit (10 mm). It was too tight so I went to these 1/2 inch and the rod then fit. I noticed that these say 12mm when they arrived and google says that 12mm is not quite 1/2 inch, rather it is 15/32 of an inch. So be wary if you are looking for an exact size.

I'm a DIY'er and I like to use these drill bits on much more than just concrete - they can drill everything I've tried - thin metal, wood, plastic, brick, tile. For harder materials it needs to have water for lubrication especially because it starts to get hot and make noise like on ceramic. These bits are straight and don't have any manufacturing defects. They seem to have a good design but I am not a drill bit pro so I cannot speak to the engineering of it.They seem to be well made and sharp enough although a lot of pressure has to be applied depending on what you are drilling, like dense concrete or marble. I like how the case cover has nubs on it to prevent it from inadvertently sliding open, so the bits won't fall out.

I own a few different types of drills. A big Makita hammer drill, a normal drill and a drill driver.Rarely do I use the Makita hammer drill in hammer mode as I find it usually creates a hole bigger than intended.I've found my best bet is to use good quality drill bits in the Makita in normal mode for those extra big jobs drilling into brick etc, or as I tend to do most of the time, just use a standard drill with good bits in it.So with that said, I saw these drill bits and thought they look great and worth a go.I can confirm these are fantastic quality, strong and sharp. They plowed through solid brick (not hollows) in a normal battery powered drill with ease and didn't grind out a bigger hole than required. Perfect! These look like they will last a long time so thats a bonus. But when and if these do wear out and become unusable I'll be sure to come back here and purchase more. In fact, I'm already looking at different sizes as we speak.

It can't hurt to have more than one concrete drill bit in your garage, right? That's why I ordered these. I needed only one to drill into the wall at the entrance to our garage door, to install an outdoor keybad door opener. The drill bit cut through the wall so easily. I enjoyed doing it so much that I was actually looking for another job around the house that would require the use of these drill bits! But I better be careful not to drill too many holes in my own house. :) Rest assured, these drill bits do exactly what you would expect... drill through concrete with ease.

I got the 5/16" size bit set to do some work on a project using concrete pavers. The bit drilled through the 2.5" paver smoothly in less than a minute with a bit of water to cool things. Made a nice clean hole and the bit (see photo) was still in very good condition after use. Have not used on cement or stone yet but seems durable enough to do the job with water applied.

These bits are incredibly well-made and deliver outstanding performance. I’ve used them on a variety of materials, including ceramic tile, brick, concrete, and wood, and they cut through everything like butter. The carbide tips ensure durability and precision, and I appreciate the thoughtful design that minimizes slipping on harder surfaces. The set covers all my needs, whether it's for home improvement projects or professional work. The blue finish is a nice touch—it’s not just functional but also aesthetically pleasing. If you're looking for a reliable, versatile, and affordable drill bit set, this is the one to go for. Highly recommended!

I was hoping to be able to use these to drill into a rock I turned into a vase. I started my hole with diamond core drill bits, but they are short, so the existing hole in my vase is only an inch and a half or so deep. I submerged my vase in water and tried to deepen my hole with one if these bits, but I wasn’t able to make any progress. That said, the bit did not deform or break and actually stayed pretty sharp. My rock is a conglomerate, so I am not sure of the hardness. Carbide is harder than many stones, just apparently not this one.

I'm waiting for a project where I can use these unique bits to see the performance of the four ridges on the tip and the open clearance to eject the drilled material. The only challenge I had was first time with the case -- having to confirm the need to slit the label and then lift the end of the clear case top to clear the two plastic bubbles that hold the top in place so as to slide it out of the way. The bending at the end of the case is nice to be able to remove a bit without having to dig it out. And then the case top slides back in place to keep everything closed and protected. Once it has been opened a few times, it will loosen up.

I ordered these bits to drill some 5/16 holes in a concrete slab for post bolts. These bits worked well, they made a good clean hole for installing the bolts. It says to cool them with water during use, but I found they didn't drill though the slab as well when moisture was present.I had a total of 16 2.5 inch deep holes to drill. I did go though 2 bits though the process, but that is expected with solid concrete block. I imagine they would drill even easier though concrete block or pavers.Good set of drill bits at a reasonable price. Recommend!
