Previously my downspout exited into a 5" x 8' semi-flexible perforated line buried just under my lawn and ending in a rock garden. It was constantly being infiltrated by soil and would clog constantly (not my design!) With this kit I was able to slightly bury the catch basin, modify the grate to accept the downspout, and ran the flex hose underground and tied it into a piece of ABS sewer pipe where it now exits at a drain hole in the lava rock wall which surrounds my yard. Even with some of the recent downpours where I live in Hawaii (1 - 2 inches per hour) it works flawlessly. Really nice product.

I have a plant that uses a lot of water on my deck. It’s large and heavy. Weighing about fifty pounds after I water it. The collapsible hose that’s over six feet long I can divert the excess water and fertilizer to the flower bed down below.The way that they can be connected you could collect rain water for your garden.I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to avoid water damage or save money on metered waterOld guy living in a desert area of sothern California

I like it I wish it had a formable lip around the edge about 5-inch wide that will form over dirt, soil, black top, and rocks to be able to catch the water. Wish the was longer and less flimsy.

Hose does not fit the catch basin and the hose extension I bought did not have a way to connect it to the other hose. I would not recommend this product!!!
