We weren't sure how this was going to work but it did! We hooked it up to the battery that goes to our dump trailer and it worked just fine. We took it camping in the middle of winter and it powered two heating pads that kept our sleeping bags nice and toasty! This little inverter even powered a single cup coffee maker!

This inverter hits the sweet spot for those wanting to run AC household appliances from a battery bank. With it, I'm able to power a 1000-watt rated microwave oven (that actually draws almost 1100 watts), or an induction burner, or an electric kettle. It features an easy to read input and output voltage meter. It appears to be well made, even if the sheet metal its case is made from seems to be slightly lighter gauge than other, more expensive brands. Its AC output is spot on at 60 hz. If supplying a large amount of power, its fan's sound is noticeable, but not intrusive. I've used mine for over a week, continuously. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase.

I haven't had much time with it, but I boiled water with a 1000w microwave with it and it did it. IT seems to run cool - the fans didn't kick on right away. BUT the fans are binary - full speed or off. This is fine for my usage. It won't be on when I am trying to sleep.

It seems to work, but unfortunately the fan is 100% on or off. It's not terribly loud when on, but after the inverter warms up it doesn't take much for the fan to turn on, and then it only stays on for a few seconds at a time. Just ~100 watts continuous load was enough for the fan to turn on for a few seconds every minute or so, and the switching on and off is quite annoying if it's anywhere close to you. That amount of noise is acceptable if you are pulling a real load through it, like 1000 watts, but it really doesn't need to go full speed at lower power levels.
