These bits are ok for residential use, they are being compared to hardened Bosch bits, and these do not compare, they started to wear out and get dull after about 10-12 holes made in concrete block,The kit is good for occasional use and not made for construction work. The plastic organizer pack is good for keeping bits organized and storing.

I've only used one size so far to drill into my driveway concrete to attach lights and it worked like a knife through butter.Hope they continue to hold up as well as the one I have used does... Drilled approximately 30 holes into concrete and it's still going.

I am building a new garage, and I poured the foundations myself. I am putting the plate down and needed to drill toggle bolts into the concrete so I can start framing. I was using some old concrete bits and I was burning up batteries and not getting very far... so I ordered these and they work very well. I can highly recommend these if you have a masonry or concrete project.Update - The garage is finished and I decided to install a mini-split a/c unit, something i have always wanted! Being able to work in a 70-degree garage while it is 90-degrees out is awesome. After I punched the 4" hole through the brick for the hoses and wiring, I had to install a cover over the hoses from ground level to just under the eaves. I broke out the 1/4" bit; I was a bit concerned about the brick since it is a split face and hard to get an even bite on the rough face. The bit dug the 1 3/4" hole very quickly and cleanly. The Tapcon screws dug in and the cover was up in a matter of moments. These bits are batting 1.000 so far.

I don't need to drill into masonry often, so don't need the most expensive or most durable bits out there, plus this set comes with multiples of the sizes I most often need. I'm installing eye-bolts in a standard cinder block wall, to attach one end of a retractable shade cover. The half-inch bit was the right size for the bolt, including a nylon sleeve to seal the deal. So I began with the 3/8 bit and was pleased with how it steady it drilled into the material with not a lot of speed or pressure needed. Then using the 1/2" bit to enlarge the hole was as easy as wood. Unlike masonry bits I've used in the past, these have quite sharp cross points that needed a very small dimple in the block to get it started. Can't speak to durability, but at this price for 15 bits, and if you don't do a lot of drilling into masonry materials, you may not need to get more in the future.

They looked well made and came in two nice cases but I was only able to drill 2 holes per bit. I included reference pictures of the two bits I used, for 2 holes each. Both were run at slower speed and with water per the recommendation. All holes were drilled into concrete blocks to a depth of 1.5"I know that masonry bits don't last long but I think that these wear much too fast, I would expect to get a minimum of 10 holes per bit using the same slow and wet approach.I did not try them in any other material because I have better bits that are specially made for metal/wood/plastic.I like the storage cases and the quantity & sizes (I find 1/4" to be the most commonly needed size) but the short life was not acceptable.Your results may vary, but mine were not impressive.

The drills make clean holes in clay tiles and bricks, but the hex ends are a big problem. Some of the bit hex ends are too large, so they either won't go in the chuck or they jam inside it and don't want to come out.It took me several minutes to pry one out after drilling a hole. The hex was jammed inside my impact wrench's hex chuck, and just wouldn't come out the normal way. I tried a few other bits and the smaller sizes kept jamming. So if you can get them into and out of your drill chuck they will cut clean holes, but it's not worth the effort.I hope this helps. Thanks for reading and liking.

I am presuming that the 1/4" size is most used size, from the manufacturer's research. It seems so. In any event, I will be using these to drill holes into my patio, to attach screen wall. They look well made, and I will post updates when the project is completed, after this heat wave is over.
