Not working with the Ring Battery Doorbell. Should be 24v not 18v. Don't waste your money and buy the original..!

This 18V1A power adapter is exactly what I needed for my video doorbell. It provides a stable and reliable power source, so I no longer have to worry about recharging batteries. Installation was super easy, and the length of the cable is just right to reach my outlet. It has been working flawlessly since I set it up. Highly recommend this adapter for anyone looking for a hassle-free power solution for their video doorbell!

I just received the 18V1A Video doorbell Power Adapter for Video Doorbell, Ring Video Doorbell Pro and Ring Video Doorbell 2,Transformer Compatible with Zmodo Smart Doorbell and Nest Hello Doorbell(16.5Ft Power Cord). Connected to Ring Doorbell Pro.Works well. I grabbed this power cord adapter based on the description. The installation was fast and easy. Does required running the wire, I did make a small hole from behind the door bell and then fished the wiring through. An outlet was close by. So no issues with that aspect.Fair priced and very affordable. Essentially an upgrade that will not require monitor or switching/recharging batteries. A good hop-up. Well welcomed.

This has very long cord to accommodate outlets that are far away (up to 16.5ft) from the doorbell camera. You can conceal the wiring under siding for a cleaner look or just run it inside through the wall to plug into an interior outlet.

Super easy to install and a game changer since I don’t have to unscrew off the wall to recharge anymore. Thus is good for who’s Ring doorbell camera is not hard wired as this method It works as it is.

I have a Ring Battery Doorbell Pro and it does work, but there are a few caveats. First, while polarity is not supposed to matter, it apparently does with the Ring Battery Doorbell Pro. With the wrong polarity the battery will not charge, while with the correct polarity it will charge ~1%/day. When using a DC power supply, the doorbell cannot be powered. The doorbell will only use the battery, and charge at the same time. The last caveat is that the Ring app will not show that you are hardwired or connected to solar power, so you will not know if it is connected properly until you see that the battery is charging. If your ISP remains online during a power outage, make sure that your Internet connection devices are powered during a power outage to stay connected to the Ring servers during an outage. The power adapter is not very heavy, so you shouldn't need to worry about it straining the plug. Since it does what it is supposed to, I can recommend this power adapter with the caveats listed above.

The design of this lends itself to result in a straightforward ugly exposed wire installation. If you know what you are doing this could be fine and you would know how to splice and feed the cord but if you don't this might not be the solution for you.
