My oil pan to block had an 1/8 space where the thin back plate bolted up. I tried to even the area as best I could. But because of the slight of set it would not seal. It leaked on both sides of the oil pan. Yes I used some gasket material also in the corner gaps.

Backing is very flimsy, poor fitment on block not lining up with dowels. Had to modify, would not buy again.

Don’t waste your money on this junk. It will NOT seal. I filled my engine up with oil, primed it and literally 10 minutes later it was leaking. I’ve been working on cars and building engines for 20+ years yet try as I might, I could not get this garbage to stop leaking. Zero stars.
