I have two Ethernet cables that I know work properly as both correctly can connect devices to the internet when plugged into a router. I tried both of these splitters, each port on them, and neither splitter worked AT ALL. Zero connection. Difficult to push the cable ends into, too. Waste of money and time since I’m pressed to get an actually working splitter/extender. Wish I could give 0/5.

I tried to use both of these items at a connection point in the basement where I had two cables that feed a tv and a computer. After connecting the cables to this unit, the computer and tv showed no internet connection. I tried a inline connector that I had from before and connected just the computer, I then had an internet connection. when I switched back to either of these units, no internet. I used an inline cable tester that I have and it checks the connection of the eight wires in the cable. The tester showed ok when I tested the cable by itself. When I tested it through the splitter, number four wire showed open connection. These units were brand new, right out of the amazon box. Sad.

They don’t work. Line 4 and 5 don’t talk on one side and other side wouldn’t talk at all. I used a tester and my cables are fine

Used an existing cable ran to basement and split it for the PS5 and TV. This works great. Everything works a lot faster than they did on WiFi and a lot more reliable.

I purchased the two pack and am unhappy with the results. Sadly it doesn't work as only one connection works aka the first cable you plug in.I don't recommend getting this.

Supplied product is marked 'RJ45 Coupler' on one side and 'AIB' on the other with no marked ports. In contrast, depicted product has ports marked '1' and '2'. Hope that supplied product will work as described and 'Support Two Computers Online at The Same Time'...

The devices work as advertised, they will split an ethernet port into two separate cables since four of the wires are normally unused for 100 mbit connections. If you want a gigabit link you are out of luck, since those use all eight wires. In that case you are better off getting two cheap, managed switches that support VLAN and setting that up to keep your networks isolated.
