About this item

  • 【Gigabit Ethernet Splitter】Reidubo gigabit ethernet splitter has 1 input RJ45 port and 4 output RJ45 ports. It is designed to solve connection problems caused by insufficient cabling. You can quickly expand a single network splitter port to four, enabling four devices to transfer data simultaneously at high speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps.
  • 【1000Mbps High Speed Transmission】Our network adapter can offer a maximum speed up to 1,000 Mbps to ensure stable and reliable data transfer between devices. It allows a network connection to be split into four outputs, but with a maximum throughput of 1000 Mbps per cable set, plus there is no crosstalk between the signaling of the four cable sets. Note: We suggest that you enjoy the gigabit ethernet speed by using Cat6/7/8 Cables. The better network cable the faster network rate.
  • 【Plug & Play】The USB Powered Cable is included in the packaging. It is easy and convenient to plug it into your computer or socket with an adapter (not include) for 5V 1A power to start the ethernet splitter. No additional software or drivers to install. Just simply plug in the network cable to connect and make four devices to access the Internet at the same time.
  • 【Wide Compatibility】The RJ45 8P8C LAN Internet Splitter Connection Extender is suitable for Cat8 Cat7 Cat6 Cat5 Cat5e network Ethernet cables, which can be used with security cameras, hubs, switches, TVs, set-top boxes, routers, wireless devices, computers and more.
  • 【Plastic Housing】The ethernet port splitter is made of high-quality plastic and solid material. There are dissipation holes on the back side for heat dissipation. It can work stably for a long time and provide long-lasting and reliable network connection. We supply a year warranty for whole products and lifetime technical support. If you have any issues, please feel free to contact us. Our professional after-sales support team will provide solutions within 24 hours.

I am using this on my Dell R510 server that I have running at my parents as an offsite backup. I only have one ethernet cable that I can use with the server so it's difficult to have the IDRAC access and network access with only one port. This runs off of USB power and allows me to expand those ports out so that I can easily use the one supplied cable to run both!Great little thing to keep around as you never know when/where you might need to connect a few devices with a single ethernet cable. I just wish I had something like this in college when the wifi was crap!

The unit is easy to set up, it uses the same power cord as my Samsung Galaxy phone. The problem is it cut my Wi-Fi speed in half. I have 1 gig G-fiber, of course the best speed I can get on anything is about 400. My Samsung TV in the other end of the house gets half than and when I used this splitter, it dropped to 46.

It's not much, but it did what I needed. I didn't have any more ports available in one of my labs. I needed one more computer to be connected to the internet and I used this like a switch. It saved me from running a longer cable to an available port.

Ethernet splitter may be clunky, but you know what this worked way better than I expected. Think of this as the plug and play for new users. I ran a speed test for both my desktops and they ran at equal, if not better speed, yes even through splitting the bandwidth between computers. The only thing I have not tried is using this for Wi-fi connection.

I was having throughput and reliability issues with a powered RJ45 hub on my home network especially when there was rain, high humidity or high heat as this network installation is located outside my house (see photos). Although it is waterproof and has cooling fans which allowed all the other equipment to work without problems.I replaced it with this smaller footprint hub and the throughput went up and reliability went 100% through rain, humidity and heat. This unit was 20% of the cost of my name-brand hub from a big-box electronics store.I have included some performance statistics for reference. Please note that these are in the context of my network and bounce servers in my area, not the capability of the devices themselves as many factors affect the throughput from an external source to you home network. All of the interfaces support 1GPS and I am using CAT6a as some of the distances between buildings is at the limit of CAT6 (300m) and well beyond wireless. This unit has one (1) input and four (4) output ports, each with an advertised transfer rate of 1GPS. It is powered by any AC wall plug that uses USB-A with a 5V 1amp minimum capability. The hub supports CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, CAT7, CAT8 which covers almost any device you would be using including POE devices (Power Over Ethernet) such as modern video cameras.Note: the box shows two (2) units on the cover however, there is only one in the package.Five stars for me and VERY pleased with this productFor Reference: (publicly available data)• Streaming: High Definition (HD) Streaming: Requires about 5 Mbps, so you can stream HD content on multiple devices simultaneously.• 4K Streaming: Requires about 25 Mbps, so you can stream 4K content on a couple of devices simultaneously.• Gaming: Online Gaming: Typically requires 3-6 Mbps, so 87 Mbps is more than sufficient for smooth online gaming experiences.• Video Conferencing: HD video calls generally require about 3-5 Mbps, so you can handle multiple video calls at once.• General Browsing and Social Media: Web Browsing, Social Media, Email: These activities typically require less bandwidth, around 1-5 Mbps each.• File Downloads: Large File Downloads: An 87 Mbps speed allows you to download large files relatively quickly. For example, a 1 GB file would take about 1.5 minutes to download.• Multiple Users and Devices (family): 87 Mbps is suitable for a household with several users and devices connected simultaneously, performing various activities like streaming, gaming, and browsing.Comparison with Average Speeds: Global Average, as of recent data, the global average internet speed varies but is reported to be around 50-60 Mbps regardless of the advertised main (Fiber) speed.

With hurricane season upon us, I've already had to test this unit out for Hurricane Beryl that caused widespread power and internet outages here in Texas and needed a method to connect 4 computers to a NetGear Nighthawk MR6110 5G/LTE hotspot modem on AT&T network. The Nighthawk modem will connect wirelessly to the computers, but the connection is unstable and would drop service at the worst possible times, but when hardwired in, the connection is very reliable and 3 to 4 times faster. This is important when I'm only able to pull about 10mbps out of the air from cellular data and was losing about 50-75% of that when connected wirelessly. With 4- ethernet cables and this splitter, I get the same speeds across all computers simultaneously.Note: I have not attempted something like streaming, downloading or uploading on more than one computer at the same time to see if it pulls the speeds down, because that doesn't really matter to me.I can be on more than one computer at the same time anyway with the type of network switch I am using.I mainly just wanted to eliminate the need to keep plugging/unplugging one ethernet cable into different computers to streamline the process, and for that, it works fine.Plug and play with nothing to set up... just plug in the power to a USB port on one of the computers, connect the ethernet cables and all computers are connected. Can handle speeds of up to 1GB, but I could only confirm about 950mbps since that is the speed of my regular internet and there was absolutely no loss at that level.Compact size is easy to place on the computer rack along with the other components. So far, so good and I'll update my review going forward if I encounter and long term use issues.Shipped and received next day, so no complaints there.Competitively priced as well.5- Stars!
