I’ve crocheted for over 20 years but just started dabbling in Tunisian. These are good for beginners which is all I needed. The only slight issue I’ve had is some splintering in the bevel of the hook, you’re going to have that with any cheap wood hook. It was easily fixed with a little sand paper and TLC.

This is my first set of Tunisian crochet needles. The straight metal needles are not smooth enough. Certain yarns snag along the part of the needles that is closest to the hook. So every stitch snags slightly. Annoying.

I decided to dabble (run full speed) into attempting Tunisian Crochet. These hooks come in a bulk pack with multiple sizes and nice long cables. There is a coating on the metal hooks that takes a little time to wear off as you work the yarn but once you do, they are great hooks. I chose to smooth out the wooden corded hooks with a nail file as needed to my taste, and that was all they needed. For just starting out, these have been great. I will probably invest in a nicer set if I stick with Tunisian long term. For casual dabblers and the curious experimenter, this is a solid beginner set.

really good price compared to my local yarn store. Actually most yarn stores don't even carry tunisian knitting needles so nice to be able to get these at all combined with the good price! not a lot of tunisian knitters out there

I've been crocheting for 2 years now and I wanted to practice Tunisian crochet more often. This set is a great value for the price. The wooden one are not as bad as the other reviews say( in my opinion) this does the job for me and I would recommend

The metal ones are okay but the bamboo ones flake and snag, they are totally unusable. So disappointing. I tried sanding them even and they just continued to snag and flake. I do crafts to relax not to get aggravated. Avoid these things, you definitely get what you pay for.

I already have these so I bought these for my sister. She doesn't shop on line so couldn't find them. So I bought them and treated her as if she was using a small crochet hook then put hem on a knitting needle. Which was taking forever. She is over the moon with them.

The only reason I gave these Tunisian crocket hooks an overall 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to carefully sand each bamboo hook. The bamboo hooks kept snagging the yarn. After I sanded them lightly with very high grade smooth sand paper, they no longer caused yarn snags. Other than that, I love this set and am making great use of both types of the Tunisian Crocket hooks. I am making a cable blanket right now. If you haven't given Tunisian Crocket a try yet, give it a go, it's a lot of fun to create things that can't be done in regular crochet. Without having to transition much. Thank you!Danielle Stone

Warning that the cord on the bamboo hooks are super bendy making the slide back on to the hook a bit annoying when doing a return pass. The cord bends at the connection point which means you have to stop and straighten it every hook length. However, the long metal hooks are great quality for the price. The bamboo hooks, like all other bamboo hooks (cheap or expensive) that I have had in the past are a little "dry" feeling at first but with use and a little bit of aquaphor on the hook head it was hooking like butter.
