I received a new product because the temperature of one channel of the first product that arrived did not rise. This time, the product does not turn on. This company has terrible quality control. I already have two broken appliances piled up like trash in my kitchen.

I installed this cooktop on my 50’ motor yacht. With all 3 burners on high, it was drawing 20 ampsThe pigtail coming out of the cooktop are brown, blue, and yellow with a green stripe. Once I figured out that brown is hot, blue is neutral, and yellow (with green stripe) is ground, hooking it up was a breeze. I used crimp style butt splices and heat shrink, and stuffed the wires back into junction box. I go into this detail here, as there is no wiring schematic in the instruction booklet., and I hope it helps someone reading this. Whoever wrote the instruction manual, English was not their first language. I have no problem with that, but the instruction manual itself was technically inaccurate. The manual says to “press and hold the power button for 3 seconds, and “On” will appear. This is not true. To turn on a burner, press the power button briefly, and then press and hold the desired burner button for 3 seconds. THEN the burner will come on. After I figured this out, the cooktop itself was easy to use.I gave this cooktop 4 out of 5 stars, simply because the instruction manual needs to be reviewed for accuracy, and rewritten to include a little more detail (like wiring instructions).
Worked as described with no problems.

I have just purchased this product and found the title seems misleading. According to the heading, it says it is an Induction Cooktop (as it also states the same on the package) which uses a magnetic field to induce electric currents within an electrically conductive object, typically a metal pot or pan. This product is actually an Infrared heating unit. Infrared heating heats objects directly through infrared radiation, similar to how the sun warms your skin. The heat source, like a halogen lamp or ceramic element, emits infrared waves absorbed by objects, causing them to vibrate and heat up. This is by no means an Induction cooktop.
