These are not 3V solenoids. The coils measured 2.8 ohms across as expected, but the solenoid would not shift until 15V with assistance and 24 volts without. This means that there are drawing 5 to 9 Amps through what appears to be a 32 gauge wire. These are non-functional as described at best and fire hazards at worst.

Small and strong. Get hot rather quickly if you leave them ‘on’ for more than ~30 seconds but that’s expected. Great for low voltage projects.
