Voltage sensitive relay12 volt 140 amp Red LED indicator.Allows split charging of the 2nd battery bank without discharging the primary/start battery.The relay makes at 13.3 volts and breaks at 12.8 volt.
- The Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) allows two batteries to be charged at the same time. When the engine is started and the start battery reaches 13.3 volts, the VSR engages, allowing two battery banks (start and house) to be charged simultaneously.
- When the voltage drops below 12.8 volts (eg the engine is stopped), the VSR disengages, separating the batteries. This system eliminates the possibility of draining the start battery and protects sensitive electronic equipment powered from the house battery from harmful engine start up spikes.

Doesn’t really work unless it’s like 32° outside or the engine isn’t running. I mounted mine in the engine bay away from the engine near the fuse panel but it gets too hot under the hood and frequently disconnects meaning the other battery stops charging, which my Iceco Refrigerator and lights and accessories run down and kills my battery. I’ve gone through 3 AGM deep cycle batteries in the past 3 months because it’s killed every one of them, not to mention all the wasted food in my fridge every other week. What a waste of money. Get an isolator that doesn’t have a temp sensor if you are mounting it under the hood.

I opened the kit and the first thing I noticed was the kit was only a 7awg my mistake I missed that in the description for my application the battery will b installed in the back so I will have to get a thicker gauge wire other than that the kit is complete and comes with everything mentioned

I'm actually using it to connect/disconnect an inverter - does the job well.Voltage display is a nice touch, as is the manual override option.

Set it and forget it. Charges my backup battery every time the car is running. I wish the start up voltage could be set lower kind of like a bypass mode but it still gets the job done.
