It was good to have longer open time. Since our 1st time installing formica. Wiped off easy before dried. We did 2 coats. It had great adhesion. Highly recommend. We used solvent based contact adhesive we'd bought to practice and we were outside. Smell was rough. So glad I saw this on youtube.

Used this to attach 1.8" lauan wood to a styrofoam/wood frame while rebuilding my RV's backwall due to waterdamage. I used Stabond 183 on one side, but ran out and thought this would be a good replacement. It worked ok, but didn't adhere as well as the stabond. Maybe I got spoiled with using stabond, but this one definitely fell short. There are places where the wood has lifted up while drying, even though a floor roller was used and hand pressed in place for about 10-15 minutes. This might be a good adhesive to use if also using staples or a brad nailer, but not by itself. For this price point, I don't think you should also have to use nails though.

Not many times in a person's life where they need a gallon of glue, but I needed several gallons to replace the roof of an RV. First layer is wood to styrene, second layer is wood to wood. This stuff worked beautifully. Poured it into a paint tray, applied with a texture roller, easy peasy. It gets tacky within a few minutes, good adhesion not long after, but takes a while to fully dry/cure. Overall, it's very easy to work with and does a great job. I am also quite happy that it seems to stay usable while sealed for a long time - I've got about a quart left in the jug, and a month later it's still perfect. This stuff isn't cheap, but like most magic 3M chemicals, it does exactly what it says it does and does it well.

This is a product I’ve used countless times to glue styrofoam sheets together. Although a very time consuming and tedious process, this glue DID NOT work. When this stuff isn’t stored properly in a warehouse or too old, it can go bad. I ordered two bad jugs. It was very unfortunate and ultimate cost me a $1000+ in other adhesives and labor to fix this mistake. I’m not saying the product isn’t a good product by any stretch of the imagination but do small tests to make sure that it is doing what you need it to do before wasting an expensive bottle of glue.Positive note, if this does happen to do with foam. It creates enough of a barrier that you can use a more violent adhesive without melting the foam into a puddle.

Product works as advertised. I watched the 3m Video on how to apply before purchasing. This product is expensive but is worth it. It has incredible bond strength. Just make sure you have the pieces positioned properly when you connect them as you can not adjust once they touch together. Recommended.

I didn't quite know what to expect. I was making a stressed-skin platform by bonding paper-faced structural foam to luan. I was concerned that the paper face and/or the luan would absorb too much, so I called 3M customer service. My call was instantly answered by a human who knew exactly how to inform me on the aspects of the product. The project was a complete success. The consistency is about like a melted milkshake and it will look like it's not enough, but it will be. Make sure you place things right the first time. Once they touch, they won't come apart. Ever. I did a test panel first and getting it apart required breaking the wood luan. Highly recommend.
