It's just fine for what is supposed to be ... an inexpensive costume rated sword ...Yes, sheath has a little bunching as mentioned in a few reviews, sword isn't sharp(it's not supposed to be), I wouldn't trust the metallurgy to hold up to sparring, and grip is cheap foam wrap. But it's a cheap costume sword for looks and holding only! Ren fair/costume prop.If someone wants a well balanced, sharp, battle ready, able to be sparred with, not going to break on first use sword... better be ready to spend a heck of a lot more money and NOT be buying it from Amazon.

This was a great looking sword. Unfortunately, it came too late for us to use in our photo shoot, but that was our fault. Exceeded expectations, was really a fantastic looking sword.

This was a gift for one of my daughters. It's solid. The finish is nice. She spent a day or two figuring out what the runes meant.

It's not sharp so it won't cut you, but I would assume it'll still hurt if you hit something. Has good weight to it. Would definitely recommend getting a sword holder or something to pair with it if you Plan on wearing it. Overall amazing sword

The sword was absolutely perfect in our recent production of Lion in Winter. The right weight and balance, so convincing to the audience.

Came perfect. Maybe got lucky but the blade is sitting perfectly in its hilt, nothing looks at all wonky. No wiggling or bending. Totally solid. Slides in and out of the scabbard with ease. Perfect scabbard. Looks good enough I’ld hang it on my wall. Obviously not for actual sword play.

Between the fairly accurate scale and quality of fit and finish, in my mind, this is an amazing sword for costume or display use. I would expect to pay 2-3x this price!

The sheath and hilt looked nice. It's a good weight. I was really excited to see the sword. But alas, I was never able to pull the sword out of the sheath. (Sounds like a modern retelling of an old tale, right?) And none of my family could either. So back it went and my son had to be contented with prop/reproduction Sweeney Todd razors instead.
