These will help size your nuts and bolts that are laying around disorganized. Now I don't have to eyeball it to know if they are coarse or fine pitch. It goes down to 4mm, so it won't help you size computer-sized machine screws.

This thread checker is top notch in quality and appearance. I was most pleasantly surprised when it arrived and even just handling the package it felt like I was about to open and reveal a quality tool (by weight). I was not disappointed! Worth every penny.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve needed a screw and had no clue what size it was and had to make a trip to Lowe’s or Home Depot and had to guess and buy multiple packs of screws hoping one would fit. I’ll never have to do that again. This thing is very sturdy and it’s much longer than I expected. Quality craftsmanship and easy to mount on my garage wall next to my tool bench. This is gonna be a lifesaver and I would highly recommend anyone that regularly find himself not knowing what size screw, bolt, or nut they need to purchase one

This is a great tool for me. It has straight edge to use for a straight edge and it marks out a few inches to measure. My only gripe about this tool, is that the measuring don't go the entire length of the tool.I like that it has feet and some weight to it.

This is a large, solid gauge with stability and heft. I tried several sample sizes of fasteners which fit comfortably and accurately. The studs (for testing nuts) are steel, and the baseplate aluminum. The baseplate seems around 1/4" to 3/8" thick. It seems to be "anodized" not painted, which should be a very long-lasting finish.It has four removable feet. At first I considered taking these off for a wall mount but I may leave them to give extra clearance for bolts to pass through. Although the base is thick enough that I don't think most fasteners would need to be inserted that far to be sure of their thread.Unless abused this gauge should hold up for many years of use. Possibly if you put rusted or deformed screws into it, that could start to tear up the softer (than steel) aluminum.There was a very small blemish in the color, minor enough that I almost didn't notice; this was the only deficiency I spotted when I received it.

We inherited a bunch of loose bolts and screws in our workshop so this is going to be so helpful in sorting things out. My husband said this would also be useful at work but I told him it stays home! It is well made, not flimsy and covers a wide range.

Lightweight, but strong and sturdy, aluminum-alloy plate very useful to identify 34 different nut and bolt thread sizes. Larger and a little heavier than it looks in pics, but a quality made product.
