Says it is rated for 50 amps but the entire transfer switch is wired with 12 guage wire. The leads coming in from the generator are 12 guage. The 30 amp breakers are 12 guage. It has to totally be rewired in order for it to handle 50 amps. On top of that, it is very cheaply made. Also there is no secure connection on the switches that switch power from generator to house power. It has spade female connector terminals which are all very loose leaving the potential for a short resulting in a fire
